The following resolution was passed at this Conference:

a) Brutality dishonoring women
b) Flaying people alive
c) Wholesale slaughter of men, women and children
d) Burning alive entire families
e) Forcibly converting people in thousands and slaying those who refused to get converted
f) Throwing half dead people into wells and leaving the victims for hours to struggle for escape till finally released from their suffering by death
g) Burning a great many and looting practically all Hindu and Christian houses in the disturbed areas in which even Moplah women and children took part and robbing women of even the garments on their bodies, in short, reducing the whole non-Muslim population to abject destitution.
h) Cruelly insulting the religious sentiments of the Hindus by desecrating and destroying numerous temples in the disturbed areas, killing cows within the temple precincts, putting their entrails on the holy image and hanging the skulls on the walls and roofs.

I liked the article it took a step by step approach to debunking the Gandhi's non violence myth.
Though I still think that he did not really mock the refugees, instead he had taken his title "mahatma" a little too seriously and asked hindus and sikhs living in Lahore to "cheerfully" surrender to death by muslims, which was senseless.

Mam keeping the scale of tragedies brought upon the refugees in the name of partition n then Gandhi's such prophecies, I would always label it mocking..... Isn't a mocking or ridiculing ? Was not his version of being human oblivion to the plights of these refugees ?

As I recall, it wasn't exactly early morning that the experiment ended rather dramatically. More like around 3:30 ish when I had to get them out of our camp back to theirs (its was a Boy Scouts and Girl Guides annual state jambooree .....).

What i see is only people who are yet to come out of "STOCKHOLM SYNDROME".this syndrome is very much seen in Communist states, West Bengal,Kerala,maybe now(NEW DELHI).

anyway i honestly want to know what is that real reason that a good number of Indians specially hardliner Hindus of India hate him.

A section believes that Mahatma was responsible for India Partition. many of my school mates used to think so (probably still do). But if we look back at history today, partition of nation was perhaps the only alternate left with huge loss of human life and a possibility of civil war. & i say this because this same was the fate of several British colonies after they gained independence. Atleast it gave a chance for two countries to restart afresh in which ever manner they could.
i've heard stories from grand-parents of my wife when they had to move to city of Gwalior (in Madhya Pradesh) after partition after having lost almost everything they had. Still they never harbored any ill feelings towards people of Pakistan. Yes there were maniacs of both sides who led to devastation that is associated with partition but there also were handful of good people who probably protected life of people in distress. Till the time they were alive, Grand parents always had a gratitude for those kind people. For those who have the movie Schindler's List would understand this, what courage it takes to stand against a mob or maddening policy and look at human as human.
