I watched on different channels about this news. Some one also criticized her for meeting Nawaz Sharif daughter. I never liked her but hearing her has changed my views about her.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday defended her decision on wearing green saree and speaking flawless Urdu during her recent visit in Pakistan saying that there is nothing wrong in doing so. Member of Parliament especially opposition leaders from Congress who had log jammed the Parliament for last two weeks criticised Swaraj on Monday.

Swaraj, who faced noisy protest in Parliament said, “There was nothing wrong in wearing green saree and speaking Urdu as it is on of the Indian languages”.

During her meeting with leaders in Pakistan on the sidelines of the Heart of Asia Conference Sushma Swaraj spoke fluent Urdu while wearing green saree at the venue where several international dignitaries were present. She said, “What should I speak? Urdu is language of my nation as well”.

Earlier Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had praised Swaraj’s Urdu during their 40-minute conversation in which he said, “Sushma Swaraj’s Urdu is better than mine”.

Sir, thank you for quoting me. Other than Firstpost and India (pro-right wing supporters) no national news agencies have reported this incident and from which part of the video they figured it out i dont know. Its a poor journalism thats all.


Secondly, our parliament unfortunately functions like this but this shouldn't be a concern for the people of Islamic Republic of Pakistan

What is wrong in speaking Udru? Urdu is Indian language, born in India and Indians are proud of this language.
Just because Pakistan speak Urdu that doesn't mean we should distance our-self from our own language.

Sir, no body is living in denial. I never said that it never happened i said their is a possibility of sensational journalism which is quite common in India and then discussing that in parliament, which happened in case of outlook too. Anyways, anyone who critisize urdu should be strongly protested, it is an Indian heritage and Sushma Swaraj has all the right to say it.
