most of such people come from humble and poor backgrounds themselves climbb the ladder thru seer hardwork, skill and luck and then give a fair deal to thier employess and society

e.g.

Ajanta gorup stepped into big thing in Morbi in wall clock manufacturing a few years ago

they made it a polciy to employ mostly women from morbi and surronding areas to help the household get stable income as many males in the household worked in the field and farms

in those times some more than 15-20 years ago after 2nd year they gifted kinetic Luna (2 wheeler Moped) to all their employees (approx 1000nos )

some years ago

a diamond biznessman of bhavnagar setup a diamond polishing centre at his birth town there he prepared a township where all workers were provided residences for token rent of Rs 500/- month and if those workers worked for more than 10 years with his co. those residence were transferred to the workers name without any additional money

That complex also had a school and college where all workers children + all student are still today being given free education

the trust gives shcool bag + books + lunch + no fees + 3 picnincs / year wothout any charge

all, the students parents need to spend on is uniform & shoes no other expenses

AHMEDABAD: Surat's diamond industry may still be struggling to regain its sparkle after the economic slowdown but about 1,200 employees of local firm Hari Krishna Exports have ample reason to celebrate this Diwali. The company has gifted the employees 491 Fiat Punto cars, 200 two-bedroom houses and jewellery ahead of the festival of lights.

"This is part of our rewards for loyalty programme for employees who have shown high degree of performance in the past five years," Savji Dholakia, chairman and managing director of Hari Krishna Exports told ET.

The incentives, adding to Rs 50 crore, were meant for the employees who contributed significantly to the growth of the company over the past five years, he said, adding that this is normal annual Diwali bonus for the company.

Established in 1991, the diamond firm has an annual turnover of Rs 5,000 crore and a workforce of about 6,000. It has presence overseas as well, in Belgium, Hong Kong and England.

Only 1,200 employees qualified for the rewards, said Dholakia, adding that the gift items were given based on the current needs of the employees. The employees who did not own a house were given the first preference for house. Those who owned a house were eligible for a car while the employees who had both a house and a car were given jewellery, he said.

They do lot other charity work. If one goes to their office and say that he or she does not have the money to buy medicine, they will give you rs 5000. He is an illiterate man and started business some 35 years ago with 2 partners out of which one died but still his share goes to his family. He gave one awesome speech which was unique and different in many way. He gavies credit of his business to his value system. He is friend of my brother.
