on topic yeah they did the right thing law should be same for everyone if people think it is unfair they should use the proper legal channel for changing it.

This seems a very unfair to be honest. If he left his position 2 years before the election then how is he expected to earn a living?

also, this law should be changed. how a person is supposed to earn for living if he is not working (as a government servant) for 2 years ? it only help those who work in Private firms or even don't work, mean's jagirdar, sardar, choudhry, saaen. this law is preventing the educated middle class to contest in elections which is unfair. instead, they should resign from their post as soon as they are elected.

What if he didn't win the election after quitting his job? Can he get it back again? A messed up system in Pakistan. Anyone can stand in the UK without first destroying their livelihood.

This law makes no sense why a School teacher cannot work till day of election ?
A person can take part in election and still be a teacher help children get education

If he decides to take Government office as politician , then he can resign as a Teacher

Staying out of official job for 2 year is strange requirement becuase how can you support your family if you had no job for 2 years. Not every one is filthy rich like Nawaz Sharif

But if knowingly the person made a mistake then they have to face the consequences

Weirdest law and such a selective implementation of the law. So a school teacher that resigned even before the election day has been de-seated, but we have a federal ministers with work permits of foreign countries walking around freely.

Here is Australia, you have to resign from your current role prior to taking oath of the public office.

Even Trump didn't hand over his companies to his sons until he took the oath to be President and yet we have Pakistan law forcing candidates to quit their jobs 2 years early when there is no gaurantee they would even get a ticket to stand in the elections. Seriously messed up system.
