Dude, Pakistan should not get into a space race with India and try and compete with Indians. The Indians have compared us to themselves for the past 70+ years and what has it gotten them? Nothing, but still they think they winning, to only go on the world stage and be humiliated by other countries. Any other country would not have lauded this failure, but the Indians think they somehow have won because Pakistan cannot send a rover to the moon... its Idiotic.

If Pakistan wants to develop a space program, it should further align itself with the Chinese. Like anything, you need a teacher and who better than the Chinese? Look at any field, Medicine, physics, metallurgy, Engineering, and ect. Name anything, you need a teacher to teach you... Honestly, Pakistan does not have the financial means to support these big projects. It does, however, have human capital and talent. Pakistan should change its educational system first and then develop relationships with Chinese universities to train its scientists. This mutually beneficial relationship will create a more robust system within Pakistan that is more sustainable for the future.

If you look at the Europeans and the jews they directly benefited from the space race between Soviets and Americans. There is a better larger race going on right now between 4-5 countries and if we can be part of that on the Chinese side we will benefit much more than building our own. The transfer of technology will be streamlined and much faster. Honestly, China is coming up with a lot of promising technologies and they are now starting to develop their own tech. Pakistan can learn a lot from the Chinese approach to technology and its incremental advancement. I truly believe that Pakistan can be part of that revolution and at this stage, there is much more to gain from the Chinese program then our own.

In simple words SUPARCO is DEAD! Not a single report have found from SUPARCO from last several years. Heard at IDEAS that they would be sending a Pakistani to space but after then never heard of SUPARCO ever.

We can expect suprises from PA or PAF but not from SUPARCO.

There was a thread on twitter saying that the only funding SUPARCO receives is from military for their own research.Government can collaborate with military to start their own program.

Space isn’t the only horizon for science, it’s more of a vanity project then anything else. There are other more vital areas which should be priority especially for developing nations. The case of India is like that of a poor kid who lives in a run-down house but buys an expensive car just so he can fit in with the rich kids. But they soon find out when they visit his house.
