MARDAN: A powerful bomb struck the office of the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) office in Mardan on Tuesday, killing at least 12 people, police and rescue workers said.

Dr Haris, district emergency officer in Mardan, said that at least 12 bodies had been received by Rescue 1122 workers.

He said that 32 people were also injured in the blast, with at least 10 of them in critical condition.

Haris said all injured had been taken to the Mardan Medical Complex and the Mardan District Hospital.

The regional police officer (RPO) in Mardan described the blast as a suicide attack.

Security personnel had cordoned off the location after the explosion.

This. Everyday I hear Muslims dying through bombings and suicide blasts.
