BREAKING NEWS: Five policemen injured in Lahore check post blast

November 02, 2009

Five policemen injured in Lahore check post blast LAHORE: Five policemen have been injured in a bomb blast at police check post near Babu Sabu Interchange, Geo News reported Monday.

The blast took place when a white Suzuki Mehran rammed into the police check post, sources said.

Rescue teams have reached the blast site.

The injured police personnel have been rushed to nearby hospital.

-----------------------------------

According to the early reports, two terrorists in a Suzuki Mehran packed with explosives were trying to enter Lahore. They were stopped by the motorway police but the terrorists were desperate to get through. The terrorists blew themselves up as a last resort after failing their primary objective which was to enter Lahore. Our brave Motorway Police has shown once again that they will not let these terrorists kill innocent civilians in our cities and will even sacrifice themselves in order to prevent a disaster. Because of the strict security measures, the car wasn't able to pass through the checkpoint. A major crisis has been averted because of our Police.

God bless them! :pakistan:
