So waste of Money ?? Poor Chinese getting milked by Russians who hyped and sold their fighter
2 billions for the simulated enemy force, not bad. If we can nail down Su35 in the combat excercise, MKi will be a easy case.

If Russia would like to sell 2 squadrons of T50 to China, i have no problem for it. I want to know how good T50 is.

.
China placed orders to buy Su30MKK, then India followed the MKI order. Always like that, India want to have whatever China has. But sorry you can't have j20 cause its not produced by Russia. The good day for russia is over in chinese market.

Both were offered at same time after collapse of Soviet union , We were not happy with Su-27UB aka Su-30 because of its outdated Avionics which China gladly accepted but we refused until when Russian agreed to integrate western avionics into them and customize them as per IAF needs . MKK is basic Su-27 while MKI is different bird all together .

We recently rejected Pak-fa , J-20 is far less superior aircraft and will be rejected even if offered to IAF .

If intention was to simulate MKI then SM could have been ideal choice why Su-35 which is different Aircraft altogether ? ? T-50 can still be brought ask Russians

Talking big, as you are the cheif of IAF.

cause Su-35 is better than SM. we want the best to do the simulation. Said Su35 has been asskicked by J20. Bye Bye Russian fighter.

As for airspace surveillance radars, there is one JL-3D-90A L-band 3-D airspace surveillance radar operated by the PLAAF at the Ganba La radar station southwest of Lhasa, plus another one north of Shigatse Airport. These are joined by three Army-operated YLC-2V 3-D S-band acquisition radars located around Ngari Airport, Qamdo Bangda Airport, and at PLA SIGINT Stations north of Bum La.

the PLAAF will also begin making use of dual-use airports immediately north of Arunachal Pradesh, these being Qamdo and Linzhi.

The most notable among them being the introduction of a solitary KJ-500 turboprop-powered airborne early warning and control (AEW & C) platform of the PLA Air Force (PLAAF), plus the deployment of LY-80 MR-SAMs in place of the HQ-12 ADK-12 KS-1D MR-SAMs, and lastly, the air-dropping of a Regiment of ZBD-03 airborne infantry combat vehicles (ICV) along with ‘Pathfinder’ elements drawn from the PLAAF’s XV Airborne Corps at two distinct locations: at the base of the Kunlun mountain range under XMD’s jurisdiction, and at a firing range southeast of Lhasa but north of the Yarlong Tsangpo (Brahmaputra) River.

The HQ-16A is able to engage aerial targets at high altitude; the mid-range HQ-16 is also able to intercept very low-flying targets at a distance of up to about 40 kilometers, filling the gap between the HQ-7 short-range SAM and the HQ-9 long-range SAM systems. The HQ-16A missile can hit targets of an altitude from 400 to 10,000 meters.

PLAAF has since 2010 been deploying Su-27SK/Su-27UBK/J-11A heavy-MRCAs belonging to the Shizuishan-based 6th Air Division’s 16th Air Regiment, and J-10A MMRCAs from the Mengzi-based 44th Air Division’s 131st Air Regiment (based in Luliang) out to the dual-use airports at Lhasa Gonggar (facing Sikkim and northern West Bengal) and Ngari (facing Ladakh in Jammu & Kashmir, plus Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand)

These used to be accompanied by corresponding deployments of the HQ-12 ADK-12 KS-1D MR-SAMs of the PLAAF’s Chengdu-based 11th Anti-Air Artillery Brigade (Unit 95607), which has three Regiments — 21st, 22nd and 23rd — equipped with the HQ-64/LY-60D E-SHORADS, and HQ-12 ADK-12 KS-1D MR-SAMs. The latter were routinely deployed at fixed launch-sites located at Lhasa Gonggar and the dual-use Shigatse Airport until now.

The air defense system HQ-64 ( export name LY-60)

  • Range(PL-10) AA : 60 km
  • Range (LY-60)
    • Normal: 30 meters - 12000 meters
    • Slant: 10 meters - 18000 meters
  • Guidance Semi-Active Radar Homing

651st Independent Anti-Aircraft Artillery Brigade, based at Nyingchi, began taking over from the HQ-12 ADK-12 KS-1Ds of the 11th Anti-Air Artillery Brigade’s 22nd Regiment.

The 651st comprises a regiment of LY-80 70km-range MR-SAMs (containing 16 TELs each loaded with six MR-SAM vertical launch-cells), a Regiment of 18 tracked PGZ-04As (each armed with four FN-6 VSHORADS launchers missiles and four 25mm cannons),

a Regiment of FM-90 SHORADS, and a composite battalion that has 108 FN-6 VSHORADS/MANPADS launchers, 24 Type 73 towed 37mm anti-aircraft guns and 18 towed twin 35mm PG-99 ‘Giant Bow’ anti-aircraft guns.

Also included are LIMAN ground-based jammers, JY-27A VHF-band anti-PGM volume-search radars as part of the LY-80 MR-SAM regiment, YLC-18 S-band 3-D acquisition radars for the FM-90s (now replacing the older LSS-1/Type 120 L-band 2-D low-altitude acquisition radars), YLC-6 S-band 2-D low-level air-defence radars for the FN-6s, Type 73s and PG-99s. For airspace surveillance, there is one JL-3D-90A S-band 3-D radar operated by the PLAAF at the Ganba La radar station southwest of Lhasa, plus another one north of Shigatse Airport.

These are joined by three Army-operated YLC-2V 3-D S-band acquisition radars located around Ngari Airport and Qamdo Bangda Airport, and these are supported by SIGINT stations located in an arc stretching from the Depsang Bulge in Ladakh all the way up to Walong in Arunachal Pradesh. The PLAAF’s Air-Defence Reporting Centre for monitoring the TMD’s air-defence identification zone (ADIZ) is located at Ganba La. A new radar station was commissioned in June 2016 in the western Sichuan plateau at an altitude of 3,996 metres.

So long briefing, what it has connection with lost su 30,i think you wanna prove that chinese has a detail of every thing by india through this warfare,so they got the clue at right time and they had shoot down the jet,right....

.
Atleast he is not trolling like you do in every india related thread.
India sacrifice a lot to nourish the Su30SM development. Rusky shall reward you a national prize.

Then Aagain Russian proposed a deal to update MKi to Super MKI. i really admire Russian's ability to milk India.

See the results of your smart bargaining? That's why the naive Indians never understood the intention of China, it was never about just buying the SU-27s.

The Russians had been taking the Indians for a ride for decades. China realized it long ago and took a 'different route'. They sell Chinese SU-27, then the reactive Indian would ask for SU-30 and then the Chinese go for SU-35, then the Indians would go for an 'upgraded SU-35'. The Chinese go for S.300, the Indians would follow, the Chinese go for S-400, the Indians would follow, the Chinese go for Kuznet, the Indians for for Kiev.

The game would go on and on and the only winner is Russia. These Indy never get it....
The end results is China being nearly self reliant on weapons and India is still India after 20 years.

BEIJING: China today said it has no information on the missing Indian Air Force Sukhoi fighter jet with two pilots on board and asked India to stick to the arrangements reached between the two sides to maintain peace.

"For the situation you mentioned, I have no relevant information to offer at the moment," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang told reporters when asked about the missing Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet and whether China would assist India in finding the plane that took off from the Tezpur base in Assam for a routine training sortie nearly 24 hours ago. The fighter plane has since been untraceable.

"We have been following the situation in South Tibet (Arunachal Pradesh) very closely," he said, apparently referring to reports that the jet was flying over the area before it was reported missing.

At the same time, he referred to the border dispute between India and China, saying that "first of all on the eastern section of the India-China border, China's position is consistent and clear." "We hope India can stick to the arrangements reached between the two sides and avoid disrupting peace and stability at the border areas," Lu said.

China's reaction came amid a growing discord between the two countries on a host of issues, including the recent visit of the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama to Arunachal Pradesh, which Beijing considers as Southern Tibet. The India-China border dispute covers the 3,488-km-long Line of Actual Control.

While China claims Arunachal Pradesh as Southern Tibet, India asserts that the dispute also covers the 'Aksai Chin' area, which was occupied by China during the 1962 war.

Two days ago, another spokesperson of the Chinese foreign ministry said there was "no change" in China's stand on India's membership bid into the Nuclear Supplies Group (NSG). That statement came ahead of the 48-member elite grouping's plenary meeting scheduled next month in Bern, Switzerland.

China has also repeatedly blocked India's efforts to impose a UN ban on Pakistan-based JeM leader Masood Azhar.

Last week, India boycotted China's Belt & Road Forum in Beijing over concerns emanating from a project under the ambitious initiative that runs through Gilgit and Baltistan in Azad Kashmir.

India opposes the USD 46-billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and boycotted the event over sovereignty concerns, though 29 heads of state and government attended the BRF.

LOL, You think we buy weapons as per what China does ? We were brought Su-7, Mig-23,Mig-25,Mig-27 and even Mig-29 did we follow China ?? Nope, Mig-19 and Mig-21 were only jets you guys brought in 60's and till 90's they were no Russian fighter jet purchased . China and India brought Sukhoi's only to bail out Collapsed Soviet Union which was now Russia .

Sukhoi was kept out of MMRCA and even now they can't compete for supply of jets in India .

Fact is hardly anything is common in Chinese and Indian purchase of Russian weapons . S-300 India never purchased , S-400 is interim Purchase till XRSAM is developed and Indian BMD is deployed , China too has brought S-400 to make their copies . India buying Russian weapons because of China is laughable

Unlike airplanes, borders are stationary and no planes are tracked in real time. Shuttles and Rocket launches are tracked realtime. Even most satellites are not tracked real time. Satellites have limited DPW. All of them. They are handled as per the requests given by multiple agencies, which will be sorted as per the sev numbers allotted to it.

<Insert insults regarding common sense, knowledge outside the bubble etc. here.>

Hence the need for individual satellites for individual agencies. Even with 300+ satellites in US and Russia, they were not able to find that malaysian airline. a Yuge plane.
