I already said, we and the Chinese are not at each other's throat as one can easily presume on this forum. China is a responsible state and they will co-operate fully if such thing happens.

Crashing inside Chinese border will indeed escalate things. Questions will be raised up, whether it was shot down or just an accident. Even if accident, than what was the need of the plane flying so closed at the border with China, especially when you said that China and India are not at each other's throat.

Arunachal Pradesh has got some really rugged terrain it will take time.I hope the pilots are safe.
If the Chinese had shot them down it would have been reported by now.

India cannot do anything if China shot down this jet for violating it's airspace. All it would do is the usual randi-rona, couple of fake surgical strike videos and lots of barking on the media.

.
Had our jets violated your airspace, I think we would have known it by now. And what I said is not going ahead of ourselves. This is what two amicable neighbours do.
You are doing navy drill with Singapre at SCS disputed water, how amicable is that. We are not at each other's throat, but we definitely don't like each other. I hope the pilot is still alive.

Shooting down a jet is not an easy decision. If for a second I assume that it was shot down by the Chinese it will lead to serious tension between us which in turn is bound to affect our trade relations, something that the Chinese would never want.

When two countries are not at each other's throat, it does not mean we will not keep our battlestations ready.

Our naval excersize with Singapore is not going to hurt your interests. We are not violating your sovereignty. Your military does not see as a threat. Then why do you think it's an act of aggression?

If it intrude airspace, we will shoot it down after warning is invalid.

. . .
It is unlike to be shot down by China, cause Su-30mki is not that outdated that could not detect incoming missile .
As soon as the pilots found be locked by radar , they should have informed the base of such information.

.
In all probability, the jet did not intrude. We are not fools to taste the water on Chinese side.
If the fighter just mistakenly enter Chinese airspace for seconds, we will scramble jets to escort it out.

. .
I think whenever IAF's fighter jet flying toward LOC, PLAAF will also scramble jet to monitor it closely along the LOC in case deliberate intrusion.

Indian Air Force is having Armed UAV.

A total of 2406 insurgents have been neutralized (Killed - 181, Apprehended -1934 & Surrendered - 157) by Army/ Assam Rifles in 2014 and 1104 weapons have been recovered in North East.

The decision to go ahead with the development of infrastructure in Eastern Air Command Area of Responsibility
(AOR) was taken in 2008. Consequently,an empowered committee to overseethe progress of works was constituted and detailed project reports for various infrastructure development works including development of ALGs in Arunachal Pradesh were accorded approval. The works at ALGs and a few other Air Force Stations in EAC AOR are under progress. This would enhance the operational capabilities of Indian Air Force and will definitely give a boost to civil aviation and Tourism in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Air Vice-Marshal Manmohan Bahadur (retd), Distinguished Fellow, Centre for Air Power Studies, noted that the IAF would always have a need for attack helicopters. “While there is no doubt that there would be duplication of maintenance and logistics, there are specific IAF roles like Special Heli-borne Missions and Combat Search And Rescue (CSAR).”

He also noted that the IAF was best suited for CSAR as it had a range of aircraft at its disposal.

114 indigenously developed Light Combat Helicopters (LCH), which is in an advanced stage of induction, and has also ordered Rudra helicopters, the weaponised variant of the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH). The Air Force too ordered the Rudra and 65 LCH.

it does look bad that after 7/8 hours after the crash is reported in media there is still no sign of pilot or crash site.

why doesn't india sent its recon aircrafts to help the search operation.

Also i complete rule out that it was shot down.
