So, I am taking a road test a day before my birthday(I turn 22 btw), I would like to hear folks mainly from North America(US/Canada) of how they prepared for the practical road test, I know they vary by state/provinces.Any of you guys pass the first time, did you go to a driving school, did you drove ever before the test and courses.

Happy birthday mate... damm I wish I was 22 again.. oh the joy. Soak it up my friend.

im not in the US & I don’t know when your test is... way I taught my wife ( after she failed twice) was intensive 4 hour long reversing, all sorts of difficult parking , 360 turns, etc etc. but the main thing is..it’s got to be intensive ... that way you relax more and more. And the mrs passed.
But hey this the U.K. .. not sure if it’s easier or harder here.

Come to Florida for the road test in anywhere in the Broward county. Any dog or cat can pass in less than an hour unless a total moron. NO need to make an appointment with the DMV. They allow walk ins early in the morning.

I take that means you can drive anywhere in the states? (After passing a Florida test) must be a lot of car crashes with all them young hillbillies jumping about..( don’t know if Florida has hillbillies... I just like saying hillbillies)

Drive anywhere in the US with a Florida license. Make sure that the crash doesn't kill you. The best way to learn is doing. A driver's license gives you that privilege. You will become a good driver after your first 100k miles.

Old Skool .. think you’re mistaking me for OsmanAli98 .. I was just messing in my post about the hillbillies.. I’ve been driving for over 15 years with a clean licence , no points and a no claims 15 year bonus. Perfect if I do say so myself.
Sorry I’m bragging.... then again I’m not sorry.

My wife has been driving for 15 years too. However, she did not yet make her first 100k miles and she can not drive on the I-95 or Turnpike freeways. Only local roads all that she drives with a 'clean' driving license.

You misunderstood. I never said you needed 100k miles to drive on freeways. It is an indicator of experience instead of years. I drive on highway /motorway at night from the day one ! All I wanted to to say is that number of years do not matter . All it matters it how and how much you drive. A pilot is correctly measured by flying hours and a driver is by mileage. Never by years which mean nothing.

We’re getting our wires mixed up here..I understood you.. I know it’s got nothing to do with years.. I referred to the 100k mileage in your post because you wrote;

It’s cool though.. I’ve got it thanks.
