Isn't Pragati export version of Prahaar? And since both have same ranges, how is Prahaar further up the pyramid?

Ah; Kor-rek-shun. That is so. Prahaar is the export version.
That is where Prithvi 2 slots in now. But there will be a new-Gen replacement for Prithvi soon.

I think he is talking wrt to range. Existing NASR is 60km I presume? About same

That's if and when the Pinaka can carry nuclear warheads.

But FAE ( Fuels Air Explosive) warheads should be a game changer too. I wonder if that's on the menu of the ARDE?

1. How do they reload pinaka launcher in the battlefield ?
2. Do they carry extra rockets with them?
3. Where do they store extra ammunition (pinaka rockets) in the battlefield. ?
4. How much time it'll take to reload all 12 pinaka rockets?

That TEL could fit in the hold of C-130 (in terms of dimensions) by the look of it. Payload wt-wise it OK.

Pinaka Mk-2 is capable of upto 60km - guess it will still be increased prior to
operational induction.

The article says its range is beyond 55km.

Good news, this makes it the 3rd test of Pinaka MkII this year.

1st test - July - Successful
2nd test - Aug - Failed
3rd test - Dec - Successful

Hopefully it'll be inducted soon.

BTW there were new earlier that ARDE is developing 2 improved versions of Pinaka rocket (a)60km (b)120km.

If its true then we might even see a 120km test soon...

Not quite. I only listed "Indian Origin" systems there. the Smerch is "Russian Origin".
Though its in the Indian Arsenal.

In 2005, ARDE announced that it was developing a 7.2 metre rocket for the Pinaka MBRL, which reach a distance of 120 km and carry a 250 kg payload.
