I'm not saying su 30 isn't fast or Russian planes are not fast yet you guys don't really understand how far behind Russia is with avionics and technology. we have eclipsed them by 20 years not to mention our unmanned vehicles that now fly over the world like global hawk and predator 2(reaper). its a joke.

Russian engineers that worked on the Yak-144 advised Lockheed Martin on the VSTOL for the F-35 so your assumption of Russia being 20 years behind is false, unles the US feel it's cool to use outdated Russian technology.

first these countries are broke compared to us.

The US is a great country but it has more debt than Russia, China and India combined, but to be fair the US economy is much bigger and stronger than all three countries, but your assumption of the said countries being "broke" is false.

I have been going over some of the posts and everyone has raised some great points about some of the differences with the two air crafts. It does seem that some of the Russian MIGS and SU air crafts have great range and speed while the US stealth f35 and 22 pose significant advantages with stealth, avionics situational awareness and the better use of deflecting and absorbing radar. both planes have little to no radar signatures.

I see there must be a lot of gamers or kids on these sites because grown men would not engage in conversation like this. Does anyone posting here have any credible licensed documents showing military background. I have never seen so much hatred and name calling over opinions of planes, its childish. I have been a contracted marine for 3 years in ramadi . Why are so many of you kids or teenagers wasting your time defending the might of an airplanes ability if you have never built one flown own or designed one.. Just asking? kind of weird.

I did not know you could even compare these fighters. The SU-30 will be destroyed long before the pilot knows what happened. The last reaction he would have is a visual of a missile and seconds to try to dodge it he may not even have that. The F-35 could very well jam its systems.
