American drones are not safe and Pakistan should take them away before they reach the hands of the extremists :D

Take them, they are all yours.

Just take them away from us and love them as much as you want and make shrines for them and golden palaces for them etc...

there is still some money left in Pakistan....once they are done they will move to UK...just wait for a few more years , your leaders will leave the country on their own as per your wishes lol

.
Why so much of hate towards the leaders ??

Buy Zardari and we will throw in Nawaz Sharif, Fazlu and Altaf....as a bonus we will give you that Molana you want for Mumbai attacks.

.
That is hardly 'hijacking'. I love the way people exaggerate tech sh1t they do not understand. Not even the foundation of it.

Sounds like all they did was transmit a Mw freq wideband noise.

attacks on Pakistan

And i think the com channel was not encrypted as it would be in the case of military spec drones.

.
Its a good thing those students didn't hijack a govt. own drone instead they hijacked from their own custom made drone.

This experiment had been done with a civilian drone.

This is the drone:

Civilian GPS devices are unencrypted and vulnerable.

I think Iran used the same method for US drone..they spoofed the GPS signal and so changed the coordinates for the landing base.
Some hints from Todd Humphreys:

Those attacks do not take direct control of UAVs, but jam their ability to receive signals. That can confuse them and send them into holding patterns that keep them circling overhead until they run out of fuel and crash, or automatically land.

&

He suspects that may have been the case in 2011 when a CIA-operated stealth RQ-170 Sentinel was lost in Iranian airspace and surfaced days later on Iranian television. Iranian officials claimed they were able to commandeer the aircraft and land it safely at will, although Humphreys doubts those claims, saying a broad-spectrum jamming attack was more likely.

However, expect some remedial actions from US;

As a hint:

The military is wary of spoofing attacks, even though its equipment typically operates on encrypted and authenticated channels. Other systems, including targeting systems for large guns — howitzers, for example — rely in part on potentially vulnerable GPS systems. One $4.9 million contract awarded June 29 by Marine Corps Systems Command to Trimble Navigations Solutions Group of Dayton, Ohio, is for antispoofing GPS systems that would prevent the enemy from disabling targeting systems or redirecting munitions.

In addition, US have also developed a drone which can work in space and is not vulnerable to anything at the moment.

Wont it be easy to spoof the radio transmission rather than the GPS ?? Even encrypted signals could be manipulated by a "play-back"attack on almost all types of encrypted radio signals. This include your car remote for central locking and ignition too. The best part the H/W come less than $30 if you know wat to look for.
