Students from Pakistan beaten outside Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan

Not surprised really its the ex USSR wtf are they studying there in the first place

.
Kyrgyzstan society is perhaps not accepting towards outsiders (?)

A rather strange tradition of Kyrgyzstan is bride kidnapping

Med, MD.. russia, ukraine and other ex ussr states and china are big destinations for med students who cant score a seat in Pak.. these are also comparatively cheaper. Although they have to come back and pass PMDC exams to legally practise in Pak.

Problems between Uzbeks and Kirgiz are also there. Several years ago, they attacked Uzbeks in Kyrgyzstan. It was a messy situation.

Since this is our new backyard, we Pakistanis should start learning about these countries. This is the direction I n which Pakistan soft power will spread.

There have been some protests about Chinese investments also

Seems like the local population feels insecure with foreigners coming to their country or even investing in it

Kirgiz are a very traditional society, still many live on horseback. Also they are not very wealthy compared to other countries in the region. They have strong nationalism, and are fearful of outsiders.

They also have some traditional rivalries with Oghuz Turks, like Uzbeks. It sometimes manifests in very negative ways.

A previous incident comes to mind when some Arab contractors got roughed up by locals in a central Asian country. There was a thread on the topic but can't seem to pinpoint it. Anyways this is not the first time. There have been incidents with other foreigners too in the past.

Real reason they got beat up was the Kirghiz guy was like ‘this area you are camping is my area. Tourists pay me to stay here.’ Pakistanis didn’t pay. Kirghiz came back with friends and assaulted Pakistani guys.

Benefits of having a half Ukrainian cousin.

According to my cousin, these guys are backwards and very paindu. Normal Kirghiz people think they are dumbasses and should be arrested.
