Student politics, to be or not to be

I think this viode is interesting and has great point . Politicization in every sector in Bangladesh actually made our politics so dirty that common folks are losing interest of it b. And also student politics is just spoiling things . So what is your opinion on it ?

1) Discontinue all kinds of Students' Unions like DACSU where the student leaders are elected by the students in all (probably) Colleges and Universities. This is the starting point of all political activities, money earning and bullying the non-organized weak students.
2) Instead, introduce a system whereby the responsible teachers select a group of students to organize each of the special occasions, like annual sports events, cultural functions, publishing of annual magazines, debates and similar others.
3) Referring to 2) above, the teacher remains the head of overall activities of an event and he selects a few among the students to assist him ONLY for that single EVENT. So, the teachers select many students in total who are trained to lead the extra-curriculum events. This is what is done in developed foreign countries.
4) Ban all organs related to political parties.
5) Ban all activities related to politics in the Campus. All such activities must be left outside the Campus.
6) Ban distribution of any leaflets inside the Campus or Dormitory.
7) College students are above 18 years old. They have the right to vote in local or national elections. But, they should be banned from bringing political issues inside the Campus.
8) Many others as needed. May I ask if all those big Dormitories are still needed. Many friction and grouping are born in these places. Students should be encouraged to live in small rental apartments.

Yes brother completely agree with those points . In Bangladesh politics became so filthy that peoles lost interest in it . Because peoples know if they choose alternative to AL , then they can be worse . As previously BNP jamat was worst .
So in order to end AL autocratic regime we need to depoliticalization fast , and then common folks can raise voice against fascism . It's the only way for Bangladesh to regain a better and real democratic atmosphere , where peoples will not be force to choose lesser evil ( AL) , instead of greater evil in order to survive .

I would say all type of politics for now , and later slowly things will be normal . But yes depoliticalization is the best way . Already BCL and zyboleage are about to tamed ( i believe it's a part of depoliticalization , that Bangabandhu started but started in hurry and wrongly , but Hasina is doing successfully . Nothing can be more desirable when you start from your own house ) . No political institutes should be stronger than country itself . All political organizatiosn are parts of a country, so they must serve a country. A country will not serve them .

You got it wrong.. It is actually contrary. Absence of Central Student Union election was the the main problem and let goons to rule the universities.

Central student union which also includes teacher representative to organize all those events.

There should not be any issue when students want to distribute leaflet regarding any issue or having a political affiliation. But organized party politics should be banned.

Actually the dorms should be expanded so that there will be enough room for everybody so that party people wont be able to do seat politics and abuse poor students coming from villages.

Yes, you may be right. Bangladesh people have really a different mindset. People love to talk forcefully and impose their will on others without any mercy. Bullying the weaklings is just a pass time that draws similarly bad people to group together. I think the BD society is beyond repair. Whatever medicine may work in other countries does not work in Golden Bangladesh.

This degrading is more continuing after the 1971 war. I have become so fond of Japan that I just cannot think of going back to GB. Here, all people respect each other irrespective of status, little money or no money. Police will arrest anyone who first uses fists. There is no bail/jamin for this kind of offence. Police will keep you in their custody (Thana Hajot) until the judgement by a Court. So, virtually it is six months in jail.

In the case of GB people salute the bullying type of people out of respect. BD people love people with power. So, there are millions of domestic heroes in the country.

Student politics shouldn’t be a thing. We do not live in colonial British raj or discriminating east pakistan anymore. Yeah they were a good thing back in the days, but back then people addressed each other with respect, no body killed each other for disagreeing or expressing their thoughts.
