Stronger Tides 'Pakistan warship violates safety norms, damages Indian Frig

Don't convert discussion, Indian navy should accept it's mistake rather than accusing Pakistan. CBMS works only when there will respect for other but no accusing over own mistakes.

funny part is that the indian ship didnt even begin to get on the move until the unsure Indian government reacted to shrill news TV reports about the ongoing events when the kidnapped sailors/crew were transferred from the MV Suez to the PNS Babur....

is it standard policy of the indian navy to act upon news reports?

. .
how is that possible ? by applying sudden brake?

The Pakistani warship approached the Indian vessel from the rear, causing superficial damage to the helicopter nets that had been spread out.

PNS Babur didn't approach from the rear, INS Godhavri cut infront of it, PNS Babur did not divert course. To avoid collision, INS Godhavri pulled hard left, PNS Babur pulled hard right, only the rear end of the Indian vessel scraped against ours.

.
what cowards INS Godavri should have open fired on PNS Babur it outmatches ex-Amazon and would have definitely sunk it.

a.) PNS Babur was carrying some of your fellow indian nationals....you want harm inflicted on them as well, just because Pakistan did what india either couldnt, or was unwilling to do (despite greater proximity to the Suez Vessel which was relaying SOS calls)

b.) if some of these reports are to be believed, PNS Babur was directly behind (having been cut off by the Godavris reckless and unprofessional maneuver).....

being within perfect visual range almost 180 degrees in front of the PNS Babur would most certainly mean it was in direct sight of the 114mm Vickers Mark 8; 4 20 mm Oerlikons; and of course explosive ordnance meant solely for anti-ship operations.

i.e. it would go from a humanitarian mission to a combat one....and i'm sure that's not something the indians would be ready to swallow, or be held accountable for.

it outmatches ex-Amazon and would have definitely sunk it.

not in a position of weakness, ''Doc saab'' ;)

i think a young service, one that was given least attention of 3 main services --PN has come a long way just in the past couple decades.

You should be aware that the CTF-150 task force (which has been engaged in SEVERAL anti-piracy operations off the coast of Djibouti and actve in indian ocean) has played a good role in anti-piracy.

Pakistan Navy has commanded the role 3 times.
