Strength of alliance between India-Isreal

This particular test of patriotism only applies to India's Muslims.

The 'Law of Return' granting automatic citizenship to Jews and Israel's refusal to allow Muslim/Christian Palestinian refugees the right to return.

This combined with the fact that it is Israel that frames the conflict in religious terms means they have made it into an anti-Islam war.

You mean the same Wahhabis who finance extremism and killing of Muslims everywhere are in cahoots with the enemies of Islam?

Say it ain't so...

The thread is about ties.

You dont need to bring off topic issues into it. We are talking about historical, military , economic ties since the name of the forum is that of a defense forum.

And i dont believe you are in any good position as to test the nationalism and interests of people here ,

I think I know Muslims better than you... Those 20% in Israel may also not be happy with what Israel is doing and after all they are not in power there so they cannot speak against Israel's state like Indian Muslims cannot speak against the state of India... We can see it in Kashmir...

Power less people can do only one thing 'Accept' and this is what Indian and Israelee Muslims or any other country's Muslims are doing right now.

But when the oppression reaches it's peak then it happens what is happening in Egypt. The biggest ally of Israel in Arab world against the will of people... Turkey Ally of Israel against the will of people we see the will of people in freedom flotilla incidence....

My advice for Indian government is that don't publicize or praise your relations with Israel so much because it's definitely gonna harm you in the end

Indian government is not in a sorry state to take advice of a Pakistani NOBODY. Which part of INDIAN muslims, dont you understand. I think you should worry about PAKISTANI christians, even a cabinet position in federal government did not save that Bhatti. Indian muslims are not looking for your sympathy as much as you think about yourself.

^^ As SpArK said, please dont go offtopic.

This topic is about Indo-Israeli ties. Not about justifying that to Pakistanis.

I did not de-rail it, even though his intellectual acumen is questionable, unanswered taunts here are looked down upon as "acceptance of their argument".

On Indo-Israel relationship, India is doing is a mega-mistake, by latching itself. There was never Jewish-Hindu brotherhood as some people may make you believe. According to them they are the "Chosen People" and we are Pagans (even though this can be extended to all sematic religious, Islam, Christianity). The bottom line trade with them have deals with them, but do not get overly "romantic" about this relationship. We cannot fight their wars, and they have too many wars to fight.

Dont worry bro. India has never made the mistake of being in bed of others or intervening on behalf of others. Even when the SU was there, we did not support Afghanistan.

Give our policy makers some credit and believe in them.

And regarding this Hindu-Jewish bro'hood we never said it. It is the jihadists that make it out as the Hindu-Zion alliance out to destroy them. So chill.

Ahhh the same fake concern for Indian Muslims who themselves thank Allah for not ending up in Pakistan in 1947.

Nothing fake and no concern. Simply a frank assessment of ground realities in India.

Israel was established as a Home of Jews. Not as a Home for Muslims/Christians.So how it is realistic for them to grant citizenship to Muslims/Christians

Once again, they expelled Arabs because they are Muslim (and Christian).
And they refuse to let them return because they are Muslim (and Christian).

In other words, they discriminate agains people because they are Muslim (or Christian).

Oh for irony's sake, Pakistan and Israel are the only two nations founded based on religion.

No this again! Indians never seem to get it.
Feel free to browse any recent thread on Israel on why the comparison to Pakistan is inapplicable.

I meant 'Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' who wanted Israel to bomb Iran and Turkey that was willing to give its airspace to bomb Iran.

Already edited my post to show Turkey's warning to Israel over attacking Iran.
Being custodian of the holy places doesn't change the fact that the Saudi family favor self-interest over Muslim, or even Arab, rights.

Since India is a democracy, the issue of Indian Muslims' support for a viciously anti-Muslim regime like Israel is very much on topic.

O

Since India is a democracy, the issue of Indian Muslims' support for a viciously anti-Muslim regime like Israel is very much on topic.

And how do plan to assess the "support" in this thread. Already members have voiced their opinion and it has been constantly rebutting it with "you passed the test" kind of arguments.

True, but India is not doing a mistake, naive Indians are. Israel is ruthless, remember guys this is the country which was ready to give nukes to the apartheid regime in South Africa. People may deny it here but Israelis see us as nothing more than uncivilized Arabs.

We should trade---yes. Anything more----no

So long as we keep getting the phalcons and the techsars, All izz well!!! :)

Lol at your 'frank assesment' of ground realities when the stark reality of Indian Muslim's perception towards Pakistan stares you in your face.

Once again, they expelled Arabs because they are Muslim (and Christian).
And they refuse to let them return because they are Muslim (and Christian).
In other words, they discriminate agains people because they are Muslim (or Christian).

Can you back it up with proof that 20% of Israel (Muslims and Christians) is discriminated against by the remaining 80 % Jewish majority ?

Also being a Jew does not earn you a right to come to Israel ; you have to prove that you belong to one of the tribes of ancient Israel.
Tomorrow if I convert to Jewism, I will NOT be let inside Israel.

Actually its kinda funny when this is coming from another a person of another nation which itself was founded on the basis of religion and where wide-spread discrimination against minorities exist.

You friend, are in no position to complain against Israel.

No this again! Indians never seem to get it.
Feel free to browse any recent thread on Israel on why the comparison to Pakistan is inapplicable.

Nah ,I am not arguing about the creation part, which I agree is different fro Pakistan and Israel. I am talking about the subsequent discrimination of minorities part.

Already edited my post to show Turkey's warning to Israel over attacking Iran.
Being custodian of the holy places doesn't change the fact that the Saudi family favor self-interest over Muslim, or even Arab, rights.

So when even within the Muslim world huge rifts and conflicts are there ; why blame Israel alone. First mend the Islamic brotherhood house.

The topic has gone way offtopic.

More party-pooping

They just don’t care: Israeli Backpackers in India

At the same time of the embassy's call, two articles were published in the Indian press that included a quotation from an Israeli backpacker in Manali: “They (the Indians) are dirty and primitive, but unexpectedly, they serve us well, like the Arabs in the territories did before they decided to raise a hand against us.” This is apparently the way Israelis see the other, which brings us to the second question.

The anonymous backpacker quoted in the newspaper teaches us in his own way simple truths about the balance of forces: the other (the Indian or Arab, for our purposes) is inferior and primitive, and his role is simple and functional: he must serve those above him.

Thanks for some reality check for those advocating Hindu-Jewish brotherhood.

We need hi-tech weapons ; they need hard currency and the market. Perfect.

Yep that's the way it should be.

It's ridiculous to see how naive we are. We're sounding like our western neighbors with the same 'brothers forever' 'taller than mountains' (@others don't take this as a flame-bait, that is not my intention)

A good read on Indo-Israeli relations post cold-war :

Indo-Israeli relations in the post-cold war period

------------------------------------------------------------------

the majority of India's political establishment understood in the immediate post-Cold War period that it was imperative for India to build sound relations with the United States, the sole hegemonic power in the changed international system.

Indian leaders came to assume that normalization with Israel would facilitate India's rapprochement with the United States, since they believed that the American Jewish lobby had a major influence on the foreign policy decisions of Washington.

The bolded part is what i liked the most in this article. One has to really take their hats off to thinkers like these. We can say confidently that its not the political leaders but policy advisors who must have thought of this.

Rather than going directly to America and make Russia uncomfortable we chose Israel!!!!!!!! I loved it.
