The topic is doing rounds in the minds of Pakistanis per se is one serious and dangerous indication. A nation can not be held together if the values of the nation is not universally applicable to all her people, in other words every individual's values and aspirations should be addressed by the constitution of that nation. In the mean time Bangladesh is on its way to surpass Pakistani economy.

Home grown terrorists are spreading terror inside Pakistan, killing people, and making Pakistan unsafe as an investment destination.

And self-radicalization policies of Pakistan is making even its Muslim population of minority sects unsafe.

Rightly said dear.. In other words, constitution must guarantee peaceful means of achieving aspirations of every individual of the constitution.. A nation of such set up cannot be broken at all.

non of it will work ... coz they have sanctioned Pakistan many time every one knows about it .. for instance back in 1998 Pakistan was sanctioned, almost bailed out by sudies later and it survived successfully, started developing its own military industry, jets .. tanks etc. so ..only Pakistani people (politicians etc) can destabilized it, no external threat can destabilized Pakistan

He said 'embargo', not 'sanction'. Kindly look up the difference and then post.

Sanctions cannot destroy a country and especially with one power (China) on your side along with its interest, it is highly unlikely and the scenario you have presented is nothing but over-dramatic and practically impossible. Sanctions will only widen the chasm between US-Pak and a corresponding closeness between Pakistan, China and Russia, a situation uncle sam does not want at least as of now. After BREXIT, US influence over EU will reduce despite the latter may be weakened to some extent. And NSG fiasco tells us that uncle sam does not have the same leverage as it once had over the world.

The same mistake as someone else already made. 'Sanctions' are not an 'embargo'.

i will not go much in to deep since we all know very well .. that what we are .. its not the same america and Pakistan is not the same country anymore. dragon is rising up from east and after the south china seas ruling in international court of justice which went against china and already china has rejected it, Pakistan has become more important for china than ever before and i m out of time now wont argue about it anymore

What short and medium term solution would you propose for Pakistan. As I see it the country is hanging on a thread which can be cut by the 'powers that be' anytime they wish. Are there really any measures that can save the country for the time being?

Is there any way to prevent Pakistan from becoming the next North Korea or even worse?
My two cents:
1)I myself believe that the most important step would be the rejuvenation and diversification of the economy. Exports should be increased while imports should be reduced.
2)Pakistan's energy security should be strengthened.( eg Agreements with neighboring countries
for uninterruptible supply of oil and/or gas.)
3) A complete overhaul of the foreign office.(We don't even have foreign minister,yet)
Work should be done to improve bilateral ties with other countries in all spheres and especially
trade.

Drat! I was happy 'lurking' and watching the posts, particularly the kiddie korps. For starters, I think @Kaptaan 's formula is unbeatable, and I hope it doesn't happen (Pakistan ought to be praying collectively for a Hillary Clinton victory).

LOL...lol.....lol...........that is the most RIDICULOUS and biggest FAIL of a post on PDF. I just got back from Pakistan nearly 9 weeks ago and know the ground reality there. Thanks to CPEC and other projects, there are MASSIVE and HUGE investments, induatrialization, world class infrastructure and energy projects going on all over Pakistan that many said were impossible only 18 months ago. The fact of the matter is Pakistan is much better, stronger and developed now than it has ever been in our entire histroy. If anything, Pakistan is far more powerful & united than it has ever been. Much to the dismay of our enemies.

The powers that created India and Pakistan can undo it too. Remember India was gift wrapped by the Brits to you guys, there was nothing special about Gandhi or Jinnah lol. Pakistan is essentially a US/UK client state. We are nothing more then subjects of her Royal highness in London. They have done it before, they created countries in ME and Africa and then broke them when they were done. Same fate awaits Pakistan and India too. Specially if India continues to become a US puppet, history has proven that all USA allies end up being double crossed by USA itself.

But I'm hopeful that this time China and Russia might challenge their supremacy which would probably lead to WW3. Its all doom and gloom.
