strange question about rd-33

this report says that Egypt got the rd-33 in 2007 , this is the exact word :
They added that there is no law that says there should be any agreement with Russian manufacturers citing the example of RD-33 that was re-exported to Egypt and was given permission by the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation in 2007 .

the question is why dose Egypt bought the rd-33 and we don't have mig-29 ???!

Strange no photographs and neither is Mig-29 something special to be hidden and in this modern day Israelis would have leaked all the images.

If true and if ever proven then I think JF-17 is no more an option. But this is not the proof seeing is believing would like to see Squadron No and Images. I think it is just poor journalism.

i know its nothing super special to hide but we gotta be careful when getting jets from russia because Usa may not give us anymore f-16's thant my point of view , about the JF-17 it dosent matter if the Mig is more superior to it our army is trying so hard to reach a level where we can built most of our armament so no one can pressure us anymore and i respect that so much plus the JF-17 is a good fighter .

EAF has 10 squadrons to replace as Mirage V/F-7/mig-21 are very old and isreali AF knows them inside out, Fulcrum is twice the price of Thunder but in a long run A single platform replacing all three or atleast 2 Types would reduce the work load and better ground crew concentration and training and efficiency will increase multifold. This is my opinion Mig-29 has poor feed back from its operators/customers except india. Malaysians and rest of the world are in process of replacing them Russians are sticking to it due to their budgetary problems and many are still grounded or being sold to third party. IF anything in a more superior role EAF should look towards SU-35. Meanwhile EAF/Egyptian government should pressure US for the purchase of buying AMRAAMS things have been clam between Egypt and Israel yet I don't understand what is the point to keep EAF starving for AMRAAMS and better WVR missiles.

don't forget the F-4 Phantom .
believe it or not building a national fighter is more important to the Egyptian army than buying brand new su-35 and that's what i really admire about our army . also there is now rush buying the su-35 right no the f-35 will have a long time to come out .

I thought those 20 F-16 Block 52 with X times capabilities would be replacing F-4s because these F-16s are additional so I would maintain they are going to replace F-4s lets wait and see because AFAIK M2000s are going no where.

When we had Gripen A/B there was not much interest for it. Now it matures to C/D and we see more and more sales. The NG is even more interesting. Same will happen with JF17. Block2 is a very good punch and big bang for the bucks. The block3 will certainly be tough opponent cause we all know Chinese technologies from J20, J31 are ending up to lower ranks.
