Stop letting Pakistan Defence converted in to Wikipedia

Thanks to very loose policy on member induction and verification, Pakistan Defence is gradually being converted into wikipedia where every tom dick and harry can post. A noteable change is the disappearence of respected posters from the scene and now we have sworming fanboys, trolling and derailing. I dont like to post but this is what is gradually becoming the image of Pakistan Defence

No dhotis here just the immature mindset from Pakistan Defence is penentrating XXXXX. XXXXXXX is the ustad of all the kids on Pakistan Defence.

. So I again, with respect, request our mods to frame an approperiate policy on maintaining quality and authenticity of the fourm. I am posting this because it was Pakistan Defence which introduced me to the world of defence forums and I cant just see this form loosing its respect around. the threads that used to be information pools are now more of fanboy discussions, photogallaries and trolling centres. Unfortunately, i too have to now look at other fora because the informative content of this web is diminishing thanks to open trolling and retrolling by new ids if banned. Please consider this my request, suggestion or whatever but I love this forum and it hurts me when i see it getting ruined.

I quite agree to it. It's like a social networking site, rather than a formal discussion forum. I remember, when I joined it, it wasn't like this.

Unfortunately with the increase in membership this is bound to happen and nothing other than self-restraint can be done about this.

I too agree on this.. There needs to be some effort, to change it as a platform to let out your frustration and make it a reliable and quality platform where we all can discuss defense and other related matters in a very civilized way..

In some forums, new members are not allowed to post for sometime after registration so that they can get themselves acquainted with the level of discussion going on..Same rule should be applied here also..
With the kind of trolling and Fanboy posts being posted here, serious discussion is very difficult..

Some points I could bring forth are:

1) Only Senior members should open new thread, other could 'post-only'
2) Issue warning points for being informal.
3) Age limit should be imposed.
4) Only one account should be made per IP (If you want your family member/sharer of IP to have a account, inform Admin/Mod)

I think create a new thread is not a problem, even Full Members should be able to do it... we can have other ways to improve the quality of discussion

I judge the credibility of the site by seeing the link of this site on the official website of the Nellis AFB during red flag exersice.

100% safai is impossible and on news threads there are bound to be trolls. The information based threds are quiet good.

I think ppl are a bit over-reacting here.!!

I you start banning trolls there wont be many ppl left as everyone trolls once in a while.

However i do agree with restricting the writes to start a thread!

My suggestions

1 Their should be special and separate policy towards Indian members in general and towards junior Indian members in particular.

2 One who has been banned for two times irrespective of his/her seniority should be banned permanently.

3 False flags or dual ID's should be banned immediately.

4 One who creates thread with intentions of troll or flames should be immediately suspended.

5 Their should be carefully monitoring of new members and Indians specially and should be banned immediately if they troll or flame.
