A former President of India Dr. Zakir Hussain was also of Afridi Pashtun lineage and his grandson Salman Khurshid is the current Foreign Minister of India. Rather the majority of muslim population of Qaimganj and Farrukhabad regions in Lucknow district of UP province are of Afridi Pashtun lineage but of course after a passage of 300-400 yrs they are now part and parcel of the general urdu speaking muslim community of UP and have forgotten their unique Pashto language and culture because of such a long passage of time and permanent settlement in mainland India. A lot of my extended family members are also urdu speaking pashtuns from UP.

General Rahimuddin Khan who was made the governer of Balochistan during Bhutto regime was also an Afridi Pathan from Qaimganj, UP.

Former PCB chairman Nawabzada Shahryar Khan is also an Orakzai Pathan from Bhopal, UP. Rather the famous royal family of the nawab of bhopal are Orakzai pathans and he's related to the nawab of bhopal family.

people in india crack sikh jokes all the time. each time anyone crack 12 o clock joke i remind them about the history of it. that shut them up. just like pathans in pakistan in india sikhs are thought to be dumb. but then sikhs are never begger and dont live life like animals like many people of other state. we are better farmers, better militarymen, better business men. our culture iimmitated. we gave legendary sportspersons.. these jokes are there because of inferiority complex of others vis a vis sardars.

I have to confess. I find racist jokes quite funny. Not just Pathan ones, but of all races, Jews, blacks, white blondes. Etc..
I think, in Pakistan, if these jokes hurt the feelings of people, then I think you wouldn't want to crack a racist joke in front of a person who is sitting right in front of you. I think people in Pakistan usually don't consider these jokes to be offensive,but that is probably due to ignorance than evil intentions.

I came to know, in Iran, racist jokes are very common. Racist jokes are found for all the races in Iran. This has caused some serious problems in Iran. To the point, people of certain races/ethnicities feel left out and segregated. It has caused problems in the national unity of Iran.

Such jokes are not a problem, as bad as Iran in Pakistan, but should we let it escalate to that level? I think maybe... Perhaps pre-emptive action needs to be taken before the situation gets out of hand. And we can do this by educating children...kina like how Americans do it.
