Hollywood has been used by US government for these purposes. Those who can't see why Argo movie got best picture award, what can I say.

Having said that, what's the point in making an anti-India movie especially when Steven Spielberg wants another high earning movie as Dreamworks had money problem for some time.

If a studio felt that there was an American market for an anti-India movie, it would get made. But, since there isn't, there's no point.

There is, however, a market for a movie that would suit Indian sensitivities so Reliance/Spielberg will try to cash in. I am surprised they picked Kashmir instead of something more surefire like 26/11.

Well then have Pakistan make a movie about Kashmir.

It's all about leveraging existing assets. Hollywood and its marketing machine are already in place. That is why having Spielberg/Hollywood make this movie is much better than making it in Bollywood.

Pakistan doesn't even come anywhere near this ballpark.

He actually may very well show Kashmir as a brutal occupation by India, this is a popular theme. He's actually pretty supportive of freedom and civil rights movements.
