State-backed disinformation fuelling anger in China over Fukushima water

Lol! Why should I drink it? It's released into the ocean, only wumao monkeys believe sea water is drinkable or it would reach you. maybe get off the gutter oil or the batsoup so that the world will be safe from more Chinese virus aka Kung Flu.
Lol, you India rats say it's totally safe. so drink it fool not release to public waters, don't you low IQ get the logic.

Slum dogs, look yourselves in the mirror first:

I read it has lower radio active waste than what China release to the ocean lel

Now that's what's called state-backed misinformation.

Tritium is Hydrogen (3H) and has a short half-life of 12 days. In those concentrations it does nothing. It occurs naturally in water (H2O) along with trace amounts of Deuterium (2H).

Tritium is the only thing Japan talks about, but there is more than just tritium in the nuclear contaminated water.

.
Japan should have used it for irrigating if they were so confident about their methods. If you ask me, I will never want to touch a fish from those waters.

A sane person will say so.

Even the ones who say the opposite in this forum or everywhere, when in the real world they are being asked to drink or to throw the nuclear waste water into their backyard, they will reject it as well.

Which state though? How did IAEA become a state? Besides, we all know how polluting China really is, so it would hardly be a surprise. Besides, your country like any commie country lacks any major environmental safety policy.

Paid for by a state.

You Indians should take back all the contaminated water from Japan and consume it if the water is totally safe in your opinion.
Should be safer than the cow urine Indian so fond of drinking and cooking with

China has rejected Japan's proposal that it join an international verification framework for assessing the results of radiation level monitoring in treated water being released into the sea from the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant, sources familiar with the bilateral relationship said Tuesday.

China is staunchly opposed to the ocean discharge and has banned all seafood imports from Japan since it began in late August, calling the water "nuclear-contaminated." Beijing has also ignored Tokyo's repeated proposals for a science-based dialogue involving experts on the matter, Japanese officials said.

Under the framework, participating countries will compare, analyze and evaluate the results of the monitoring carried out respectively by the Japanese government and the International Atomic Energy Agency on seawater off Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan.

In order to guarantee the objectivity of international evaluations, Japan does not participate in the framework.

The research institutions participating in the framework are selected by an entity related to the IAEA. It currently involves institutions from the United States, France, Switzerland and South Korea.

Since early this year, Tokyo has repeatedly asked Beijing through diplomatic channels to participate in the monitoring efforts, but has had its requests rejected by China under the argument that the framework "does not guarantee" independent analysis of the released water, the sources said.

Shaun Burnie, senior nuclear specialist for Greenpeace, accused the Japanese government and TEPCO of diverting attention away from the radiation levels in the waste water from the nuclear plant by emphasizing tritium, arguing that various other harmful radionuclides, including strontium-90, iodine, ruthenium, rhodium, antimony, tellurium, cobalt, and carbon-14, will remain present even after filtration.

The difference between Fukushima nuclear waste water compare with other nuclear waste water is...

Fukushima nuclear waste water is a result from a nuclear meltdown, it's already exposed and mixed with nuclear radiation nakedly in ground zero.

While the others are just the water used for heating and cooling separated by barriers in controlled condition.

Besides, how sweet the Japanese government and media speak about the incident, it doesn't transparent about it. It won't accept help and joint-investigation from neighboring countries. If Japan can't accept the goodwill of others, why do you think Japan has a goodwill and trust as well?

I just want to say the real Japan is not the image of what Western media is trying to force to everybody.
