.
Kashmir threads are ONLY supposed to be posted in the Kashmir section so it doesn't become a troll fest, like this thread has become.

LOL nobodys concerned about Kashmir, and China had something to say bcos of influence of Pakistan. They will climb down from any superficial position they had to a neutral stand eventually ....and they are already doing that. Which is a good way of developing relations with India BTW.

Of course China is on Pakistan side on kasmire issue since India supported and housed Tibet slave owners in 1959, even with geopolitic change over time , Indo-China relation improved has not been at the expense of Pakistan, we neither encourage nor stir up to make Indo-pakistanis relation worse.

Or maybe China's just messin' with you. ;)

On a serious note, nobody's abandoning anybody. This China-India dance has to be seen in the context of American and other moves. Note that the AP issue is alive and well and, even on Kashmir, all China said is "no comment".

No comments is fine, but the policy of stapled visas to Kashmiris has been stopped..2 Kashmiris from my team recently went to Dalian on a business visit with proper visas

Yes, that must be why Indians are obsessed with this relationship.

India couldn't found a reliable ally, in 1970s, Kissiger and Nixxon establish diplomacy with Mao thanks to Paksitan, India has been marginalized, then in 1990s, when Gorbashev estiblished relation with Deng, India lost an vital ally as counter weight to China, Russia has been playing a neutral position regarding China and India beside selling weapons to India, Russia has not done anything against China in favor of India.

But China-Pakistan lasted for over half century and continue, it's time tested relation, not a single even has shaken the foundation of our relations, no matter how many presidents or prime misters been replaced..we're all weather friends:cheers:

Well, I don't want to comment on India's relationships, but the Pak-China relationship has stood the test of time. It is built on many levels of shared interests.

That's OK. I would much rather Pak-China focus on real issues rather than symbolic matters like stapled visas.

Very positive move by China I must say. Hopefully Arunachal Pradesh will be settled peacefully as well in the future.

No relationship is permanent. Countries that want to have a global influence make relationships based on their national interests. USA did this with Pakistan, they used you but after they realized the amount of religious extremism that exists in Pakistan (especially post 9/11), they dropped you.

Expect similar things from China. China wants to be a global superpower, and in many ways has the potential of even outclassing USA in the next few decades. The only reason they want Pakistan is because just like USA, they want a strategic base and route to access Central Asia/Middle East. In a few years time, if you find areas of Pakistan being on the receiving end of drone attacks by China, all I will say is that "I told you so".

China is not a strategic partner of India. China will not abandon Pakistan.

India has to continue raising more divisions, rearming, and building infrastructure along the border. Long range ICBM's must be inducted ASAP.

There is no point in trying to sugar coat anything. China is a strategic competitor.

In the same 1971, India dismembered China's reliable ally! What was China doing at that time?
