Stalled negotiations: Obama pushed Modi to re-engage with Pakistan

Are you in the favor of Pakistan talking to Kashmir representatives or not?
  • If you do not support our talks with Kashmirs, you should rather be happy that Pakistan is taking to "non-representatives" and that talk will eventually turn futile.
  • If you support Pakistan's talk with Kashmirs, you should let Pakistan talk to the ones it wants.
In either case, India doesn't have a reason to object.
well sir with all deu respect pakistan wants / is desparate to resumption of talk & trade with india not the other way round and india bieng the more powerfull has the final say and despite all tricks in the book pakistani diplomacy has so far failed to break the ice

now if the wheel has to roll again its pakistan who has to deal with india on indian terms if that doesnt happen then its not india which will loose so its yourchoice cause you dont have the capbility to make india talk on pakistani terms ... is there any other way .... i guess not

India has every reason to object to any such meeting carried out on Indian soil. If Pakistan really wants to talk to the Hurriyat or anyone else, use a phone. Do a song & dance about it & there will be blowback. If India wants to stop meetings, it simply can stop the Hurriyat leaders from entering the Pakistani HC.

India, as usual needed a lame excuse, so they came up with the high commissioner non-sense. Where does it specify that the high commissioner of Pakistan cannot meet anyone in India? Did he break any Indian laws? Just plain old BS. That's it.

No BS. The Indian government made clear the consequences of any such meeting. Pakistan went ahead, why whine then about consequences.

You are right when you say India has gained on its ground viz a viz Pakistan when it comes to Kashmir. Pakistan stalled its support for Kashmiris under Musharaf and that was a big mistake. That being said,

India has not been able to control Kashmirs and even 3rd generation of Kashmirs is determined to liberate their pride land from Indian occupation. Pakistan doesn't need to look at Kashmir through Indian lens but we definitely need to look at Kashmir through a different lens than before. Objective is the same, strategy needs to be different - but it wouldn't be Indian strategy Mr. Dutt. Otherwise what is the point of discussion the first place?

Not going to happen ; India will not accept Obama's advice
there is NO NEED for India to talk to Pakistan

well kashmir or nokashmir pakistani establishments anty india triad will never stop kashmeer is an engineered dispute but then its a diffrent matter alltogether

let me tell u a story which "javed chowdhary= kal tak" once told about on of the UN genreal secratorri who served as a lawyer insome south east asian country where his main clints were from sub continent

his genral perception about hindus/indians was when ever they were told there case was weak indians/hindus opted for a respectable owt of court settlment while muslims from the sub continent insited on filling the case knowing very well they wont be able to suceed but instead said even if he is not able to fight and win the case in hislife time his son or his grandson or even his great grand son will keep fighting the case

fact of the matter : the lawyer came to conclusion that a race which knowingli wants to keep on fighting a for a wrong cause will never be able to grow and flourish and thats the main reason why despite so many natural resources , strategik location and population muslims are not able to grow vice versa hindus who once were in same position

age aap khud samjhdaar ho saeen ji :)

Similarly, is it specified that India cannot talk to the representatives of Pak Occupied Kashmir? Why? Wouldn't the Pakistani Establishment be pissed off if we did? Do the lame duck Hurriyat represent the whole of Kashmir including Gilgit/Baltistan? No, they don't. They don't even represent 2% of the Kashmiris of the Valley!

Or do you consider that Pak Occupied Kashmir is not disputed, and is a state of Pakistan like Punjab?
