China does mix various systems together to suit her own needs, but Soviet system dosen't account for much in today's China, it's just a name which the current government can have legitimacy to rule, believe me, no one in today's China still believes in Maxism and communism, but as long as the name can hold the country and people together, no one would try to change it.It's a mixture of both nevertheless China took the positive aspects of the Soviet system for their advantage you cant deny that
I don't expect foreigners to be able to fully understand China's current governing system, you have to be very familiar with the Chinese history and all governing system througout various dynasties to see that today's China's governing system is just a rehashed copy of the past. Old systems and traditions die hard.
Maybe Koreans , Japanese or even Vietnamese can understand what I m trying to say more than others, they used this same system for thousands of years as well.
