SSİK decides to arm the ANKA

SSİK's decıdes to arm ANKA after the US congress blocked the purchase of the predator's.
A deal is going to be made made wıth TAI to improve the engine; this will allow a longer range and would unable a payload.

Thats good news. Umtas and Anka will give TSK unprecedented level of intel and assult in n. Iraq.

That is correct. However i am not sure how long it will take for these to be operatıonal..

If this will be the case than really PKK will have a big problem. Patrolling 24/7 the mountains, when a group of terrorists appears, without warning or waiting firing of directly some missiles or dropping bombs.

Yes, these ANKA'S will be a nightmare for the PKK. However i doubt that these wiii stop any terrorist attacks.

No but it will reduce a lot. PKK must find new tactics after this because after a attack, some ANKA's will send to the operation area. They wont have much time to escape or hide. But another problem is that the most places are forest. I dont know how good the aselflir will handle these kind of obstacles.

Switching from diesel to a turboprop engine will not be enough there will be many other engineering problems to solve. They will need to strenghten the body to sustain hardpoints and so.

And @killuminati a FLIR consists of an IR camera, not a day-camera so forests don't mean anything. Also there's that Synthetic Aperature Radar. not as cool as religion but you may decide to google it :)

Maybe special clothes will protect them from IR camera's? Or did i watch to much The Predator movie when Arnold did get under mud and blocked the ''heat'' view or whatever you call it with it..

Hahahaha, simply wonderful!! But yes, there are ways to avoid detection from IR camares. Cheapest one is (PKK use this too) wearing lairs of wet raincoats, but again with 7/24 surveilence it is nearly impossible to avoid them in long run.

Maybe PKK can use invisibility cloaks from Harry Potter to hide.

Don't watch too much movies man ;) Hiding in mud is only going let them look stupid, nothing more.

Wish it was true. But, Karanlıktan faydalanan teröristler, they are famous in Turkey.

We had supposedly encircled 300 terrorists in recent months, what happened to them?

@TurAr as i said numerous times before in numerous threads. These systems are for strategic data gathering. For tactical purposes we must give every karakol, every artillery unit a tactical UAV in order to supply them with small-time tactical awareness.

We must procure hundereds of Vestel Karayels and Çaldırans for various types of battalions.

Well, hundereds may not be a reallistic but we can at least deploy tactical UAVs for operational battalions.
