SSG Jawan and its equipment

.
I agree Sir we need better Night Visions and Helmets and Optics and Turkey can be of great help
Beside the optics we need to cover their front groin and back buts infact shoulders should have also been covered coz these are the most nerve racking places where anybody can die on the spot hope we put more body armour with light weight to cover their vital signs
Thx

It's is not you have but what you do with it. Look at history. Vietnam, Taliban others. Super powers have been defeated by men and women wearing sandals madefrom old tires, wearing cotton pajamas, carrying small bag of rice and an AK 47. The father of SSG, General Mehta used to say " be proud of your poverty". The quote has very deep meanings, think about it. Soldiering is more than parades, movies, video games and magazine covers.

There's nothing the Iraqis are wearing that Pak doesn't have. LCB has similar equipment aside from the opscore helmets - which SSG/SSGN/etc have. Knee/elbow pads, everyone has those by now. Integrated radio and helmet mounted imaging systems ditto. The plate carriers bought off the shelf from abroad are being seen in SSW/SSG/SSGN etc. I've posted/linked to pics where integrated pads are also in the armed forces of Pak. However, standardization and commonality of equipment with its camo is way off in Pak. Makes it look worse than it actually is. Besides there is corruption in the army when it comes to procurement. Our Jawans are made to wear 1980/1990s tech bullet proof jackets and worse, most don't even have bullet proof vests...we have apologists over here that like to pass-off tactical vests as something bulletproof.

Yes the personnel protection systems need to get WAY better, but comparing to the Iraqis as a higher standard is the wrong way to go about it. I think the Indonesians have something to look towards in terms of protection vests/jackets. The too have the same complexities and challenges of a large army in a large country but have managed much better than Pak.

Every soldier has bullet proof vest... Its a standard issue.
