You both are missing the obvious the SSG are called black storks for a reason first their atire and secondly there secrecy they were modeled on the British SAS who also liked to wear black atire although I don't have any pics predating 1986 that show them wearing their black outfit but through word off mouth from senior fellows from the armed forces we can confirm that an specialised section off SSG did indeed wear black outfits

I posted 1 from early 80s.. up in the thread..

Zarrar All Black appearance have been there all the way back to 80s when 22nd SAS helped us in making of ATU. Zarrar even got breaching tools ideas and techniques from SAS.

Both are different special forces units, SSG is a military unit, NSG is a paramilitary unit, both use totally different kinds of weapons as SSG is a military unit while NSG is a counter terror unit just like German GSG-9.

Zarrar is an equivalent of RR in Indian Army, Zarrar ATU is different from NSG, as NSG‘s main objective is to neutralise terrorists incase the situation is out of control of local law enforcement agencies, like during the Pathankot attack, the terrorists camped at a small bunker and had pinned down the police, NSG was brought in to neutralise them wherever they were hiding. NSG’s Role is similar to GSG-9 of Germany and GIGN of France.

RR has the highest COIN experience in whole continent, 30 years.
And RR has better equipment overall.

As I said bahi Such stuff is not shown publicly as far as I know..

Did some digging.. CAR-15 is standard SSG gun.. but again I think soldiers have their choice too and personalisation options as well..

Secondly I think they usually have only Single tube on their helmet..

No those quads nods are 40K $ a piece.

SSG should have Dual tube NVGs because you have to pay some extra for them.

Army SSG use Mono PVS-14s
But I have seen two pairs of PVS-15 DTNVGs with Naval SSG-N.

For clothing they are switching to Comabat Shirts and Pants to some extent.

High cut helmets are being used now. But Old PASGT helmets are still widely used.

They carry M4A1s and Type-56/56-2 as their primary.
Rifle attachments: Eo-Techs/ aimpoints/ Peq-15/ D-Ball/ surefire scouts.

They use MP5s as their SMG or PC MG.

Glock 17 and Sig P226 are used as Side arms.

List goes on

Mate RR is their bloody quick respone Unit it's not even that well trained I've seen videos of them practicing room clearance not very professional to say the least
