SS Ravi Shankar, travels to Iraq - Helping Kurds and Yazidis

Amid all the bloodshed, I hope to bring a small ray of light. Hopefully this can illuminate at least a part of our discussions here. I have never posted in the Middle East section. Indeed, never knew I would do so, but this news made me want to make an exception.

SS Ravi Shankar and Art of Living had been working for the relief camps for some time. But this time he himself left for Iraq flying directly into the camps currently controlled by the Peshmarga(!/?) Anyway, whoever holds the land is secondary. Just that food etc has been transported 110 tons of it last week. Since communications are almost non existent, it took some time to get these pictures. But hopefully you will like it.

Some are newspapers sources, some first hand.

This man was detailed as a security assistant from the camp itself. The suit was hired for this occasion. After a tour, he started crying along with the rest of the Yazidis.

this fool had sent a "delegation" to iraq in 2003... to help them deal with "post traumatic stress"... what a bloody joke... a proud strong revolutionary nation destroyed by invading usa... betrayers and collaborators are installed into power by usa and iran... children affected by usa military's depleted-uranium shells... the defenders have melted away to fight on... and this fool comes in to console the traitors among iraqis who have helped the invaders... what consoling... the traitors were happily helping usa military pull down saddam's statue...
