Hey bro @Azizam ! This is awesome news indeed, and from my limited research into this development, this is the Colombo-Kandy Expressway Project, which will connect the capital city of Colombo with the industrial city of Kandy, yes?

This is definitely a great development update and am glad to see that Sri Lanka's central infrastructures are being tapped , this will definitely improve communication between the states in the country, let alone improve mobility of all Sri Lankans on their way to the capital city of Colombo. Not to mention the construction of this said expressway will boost the tourism and businesses on the towns that dot the landscape en route to Kandy.

Great Job for Sri Lanka !!

Yes you are right. We have to thank Japan and China. :enjoy: This is actually one of the most important expressways and it should have been built before the southern expressway.

Bro, thats why I have so much high appraisal of Sri Lanka !!! Developments are, in comparison to other South Asian nations, rapidly implemented with fewer red tapes or as we say "long winding road of bureaucracy" ! haha! In that i am referring to the long long long red tape in the Republic of India when it comes to developmental projects. A las, just a positive criticism on my part.

Back to the subject tho, Sri Lanka, is mature in that she has a non-alignment policy when it comes to international partners. Almost similar to India and Bangladesh. Sri Lanka cooperates with not only Japan, but also China, with Indonesia, with the United States, with Pakistan, with India, with the European Union, et cetera et cetera !

That's what I love about Sri Lankan Politics ! You guys have what we call and refer to as OMNIDIRECTIONAL FOREIGN POLICY !

Ah, i didn't know that. What is the Sinhalese version of "bhai" ?
In Sinhalese, brother means "Sahodaraya" but as "Bhai" is often used to address friends, Sri Lankan equivalent is "machan". :D

It's very nice to see the transformation in just few years. When I was in Sri Lanka, these roads were full of potholes.

.
Congrats!
Perfect road, perfect scenery!
I must come in the future!

Isn't SiriLanka too small for an expressway?

What a silly question. If Taiwan can have multiple expressways, then Sri Lanka (which is larger than Taiwan) can , too.

Taiwan = 13,000 square miles

Sri Lanka = 23,000 square miles

You do the thinking, Mr. Bang Ding Ow.

$hit man, smaller than I thought! But as they say, size doesn't matter. If not enough room for it, be optimistic and step into the ocean.
