What are the views or policies of the new Sri Lankan PM regarding Pakistan? Has he made anything public yet? I know under Pres. Rajapaksas Sri Lankan ties improved with Pakistan and China.

It is too early to comment but reports indicatee the guy is heavily tilted in favour of India. No wonder the lankans here are going crazy. LOL!! But seriously it was surprising to see the lankan premier rebuke China, take up the issue of human rights violation with Australia and cozy up to India.

He may or may not be anti-Pakistan but from India's point of view he is pro-India and that is good news for our strategy planners. India had exclusive control over sri lanka before the lankans in their efforts to defeat LTTE approached China for military arms. sri lankan being a very poor country has got nothing to do with innocence. Often the very poor countries have the worset cases of human rights violations eg. somalia.

sri lanka was supplied military hardware by China and sri lanka indiscriminately shelled Tamil population. Including the shelling of a government declared "safe zone". This was recorded by Channel 4 itself. Medical supplies were cut off, food and essential supplies were cut off, civilians were trapped by government pincer movement and the trapped civilians were bombed day and night.

Civilians crossed into lankan army areas because the government bombed every bit of civilian population. These same civilians are now living in concentration camps run by sri lankan army.
