Sri Lankan monk sets himself ablaze over cow slaughter

you did not answer my points which means you do NOT know that in which period cow was made not to be slaughtered and seems you are following the general belief.

can you tell me how many people in India owns a COW? and how many of them get benefit of milk from the cow?

If u live in a village, owning cattle for farming/milk is a normal thing.

Else you raise goats for selling when they r older/milk but little rare.

It is the same as your punjab,

The educated ones strictly followed low cast high cast difference there whereas the normal ones dint exhbit that kinda behaviour.

i loved eating food cooked by dalits there and found many non dalit uneducated ones far saner than the educated ones.

anyway i wonder why educated Indians do not try to study the real hinduism and do away with twisted insertions.

there was a time when i used to rely on definitions by the religious scholars viz a viz my faith even but after i started reading my Holy book with translation i can argue with even a mullah and debunk his twisted versions regarding many things.

From my knowledge,i am sure you have no idea who is dalit and who is not.

we know the real hinduism and it is not like your religion which is highly inflexible.

My dear fellow hindus - do you know the major portion of the milk in India comes from buffalo milk? And do you know for an average village side poor farmer buffalo milk fetches him/her more money as the cooperative societies on the village side measure the milk by their density? So for me as I have seen my poor grand father make more money with buffalo milk is a much more valuable animal than cows. So for each their own belief. So can we please stop this soft blasphemous B.S?

.
Wow. so much contempt for beef eaters! and then you go live in australia. why not create a non beef eating utopia in India?

not only beef eaters, today we too many non vegetarians for no reason.

50 years even those who ate meat knew how to eat, what to eat.

You only had freshly slaughtered nattu kozhi/aadu,now we have steroid boosted broiler chicken and lot of slaves for its taste.

Do you also know how fatty buffalo milk is,do you know only in a village with an active lifestyle one can digest that buffalo milk very well.

my grandpa also had buffaloes and cow and we used to drink a lot of milk but in today's lifestyles, nothing.

Well I give up.

The Hindu belief regarding the cows appears to be contradictory so far from what I have learnt. The notion is that, the cow is very beneficial to humans as it is consumed as food, therefore it must not be consumed! Instead, it should be consumed spiritually?!

Well, I am thankful to my ancestors that they gave up Hinduism / Budhism and accepted Al-Islam. May ALLAH Bless them with the highest abode in Janat-tul-Firdaus.

Please dont insult Islam by limiting it to beef vs non beef,if such is the level of your critical thinking we are more than happy to say good riddance.

Do you know the aavin, amul and other cooperative society milk you drink is mostly made of buffalo milk? They mix the cow and buffalo milk together process them and send it to the central processing unit for further processing? So how many Indians get to drink pure cow milk? Inspite of this there is mal nutrition in India big time. So lets worry about getting proper nutrition in India before worrying about the fatty nature.

Cow is worshiped because we have strangely erotic creatures like Kamadhenu.

while Buffalo is considered the vehicle of death. So people don't care for it as much.

yeah malnutrition is a problem and thats because of rich people eating too much food and wasting money in pubs instead of trying to feed the poor which used to be a tradition in the past.

Yeah let the milk packets be of mixed milk.

Sashan whats the point now,i have no problems if a poor man slaughters a cow/buffalo and eats it,a hungry person is always excused and it is the society's fault not to have provided him good food.

But here it is the rich guys, slaves of their taste buds giving random arguments about beef.

Let's cut the cr@p. we south Indians have one of the worst dietary habits in the world. All carbs and very little of everything else. thats why our people are small, scrawny ,suffer from diabetes and die early.

Sorry mate - for each their own - The way I expect that I be left alone, I will respect others' beliefs as well.

boss,

i dont knw what you are talking about,In my village most people live upto 80 years of age.

And it is because south indians are inherently from the village and in the 40 degrees tropical, humid sun u need carbs and thats why there is lot of rice.

i dont understand the word scrawny,it is normal for a guy to be scrawny in a hot humid place.have u seen how the fishermen look and all they is old rice and fish curry.

If you live in the mountains,u need lot of muscles for proetction against the cold.

Today in TN,everything is spoilt/adulterated.

Tasmac is full and people eat a lot and do no physical work/have a disciplined lifestyle,it was not so bad 30 years ago.

My problem is with someone saying that I should not eat cow meat, should think of cows as a ma etc. At the same time as I have mentioned above, I would respect that view if he has it for himself/herself.

I thought twice before adding it . But then you have to read the stories behind these Gods. They are very interesting but also very erotic. I guess its a good thing ancient Indians didn't shy away from it.

nobody says you should not eat xyz or think abc but the point here is,if in a place where majority people dont want beef served in restaurants/cows slaughtered, then they wont be.

There are places where the opposite could work.

Like Gujarat, non veg is a big taboo and beef is a big taboo is punjab/haryana/himachal also.

In cities, these things are not taboo.

There is nothign erotic, thats all dravidar kazhagam sex fantasies,

The old system did find sexuality normal and not something taboo and they did not see it as something crazy that would make you a lust filled animal.

For a relatively developed state, Tamil Nadu still suffers from chronic malnutrition. And for a chronically malnourished state, it has the highest prevalence of diabetes . you can connect the dots.

South India worst hit by diabetes - Times Of India

It was not due to DK but due to the British and the missionaries who came with the British that sex became a taboo. Shiva temples in different places have erotic depictions on the pillars - It was a common practice then but now would someone building a temple think about it? . Also read about upper cloth controversy among Nadar women in Travancore.
