here for 'chai-pani' or JFT?

here for 'chai-pani' or JFT?
Routine visit, mainly focused on bilateral relations. PAF support them in pilot training, repair & maintenance of K-8/J-5 fleet (even overhaul of J-5/FT-5 (till 2011)) etc.

Regarding SLAF airchief's visit to PAC, its just a normal visit to keep him busy in Pakistan.
SLAF is going to be a minor user of JF-17 (even IF they intend to buying it), for them even few of PAF retired F-7s (with overhauls) shall work fine.

Not really boss, Srilanka's economy is booming....they can purchase JF-17s at full price. Might need only a squadron strength for patrolling/recce etc.

JF-17 gives them everything they need, much superior to F-7s

.
Lanka , just wait a year, you can decide between JF 17 and Tejas ..

. .
Tejas is stil 2-3 years away from seeing any service with indian airforce .. let alone sales to international buyers... and by next year we will have JF-17 BLK-II in service and by 2017-18 BLK-III.

Tejas will get FOC by middle of next year..

After the 40 mk 1 , IAF ordered I think there will be a window before mark 2 production, where export orders of mark 1 can be taken..

I am not sure when export orders of JF 17 will be taken..

And we have inducted 4 Sqds of JF as of right now? with BLK II in production? As far as export of LCA is concerned... I doubt that very much considering its probably going to be inducted by 2017-18? by indian airforce...

I am not sure when export orders of JF 17 can be taken..

“We have nearly confirmed orders from seven countries for JF-17,” Mr Hussain said.

Pakistan, which is at present producing Block-2 of JF-17 at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, is eyeing orders from countries in the Middle East and Africa.

“The PAF has a requirement of 250 aircraft, but now we have decided that we’ll sell some of the JF-17 Block-2 to international buyers besides fulfilling our local demand,” the minister said.
