This has been wrongly reported
1. There would be 5 and not 7 teams in the tournament
2. Afridi and Vettori will not be the captains. All the Captains would be Lankans itself
3. The players have just been approached. Many has been approached. The confirmations are yet to come
4. There are 3 salary slabs and the max slab is 30K $. This is like the lowest slab in IPL
5. Absence of Cricket for Pak and low salaries in WI, NZ, BD, Ken, Ire, Afg will surely be willing to play the tournament. 30K for 20 days is a decent proposition
6. Players like Yuvraj Singh and many other are free then as they are not part of test team. Now it depends on them if they want a break or earn 30K they can also play

Lets see how this tournament goes

Why would Pathan brothers would play for $30k when they make about $2million each in IPL. They rather take rest.

UAE doesn't have infinite money for investments. Everything is based on ROI. Plus private bidders were invited and SLPL bid was won by Somerset. Hence it is sponsorship that could have come
