Sept 27, New York: The leaders of Sri Lanka and Pakistan on Saturday reiterated their commitment to strengthen bilateral ties and vowed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, defense and economic relations.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met on the sidelines of the ongoing 70th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York Saturday.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the regional security and the matters related to South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). Nawaz Sharif said that he hoped for more cricket series between the two countrie
