Sri Lanka concerned over Indian nuclear plants

Im not sure which dimension you live in. Indian nuclear facilities are not the ones being called to show greater transparency in our dimension . Rather, its a small country called Pakistan. Its almost as if you took the popular statements associated with the word Pakistan and replaced it with "india". Buddy, you can cry your heart out for all i care. But, i hope you know that isn't going to change reality of a crumbling Pakistan.

It depends on whose trust we are trying to gain. We have the trust of 'Nuclear Bigwigs' US, France & Russia to sell us their nuclear plants. I believe AUS will also trust us and sell us uranium. So we don't give a rat's about the 'trust deficit' of other countries.

better get the nuclear plant in central india, no bother neighbors.

Sorry, can't do. Nuclear plant needs a large volume of water nearby. So the best place is near sea.

Only Germany is shutting down their Nuclear Reactors. They are trying to replace it by solar and wind power, but there are doubts that this could be successful. Most probably Germany would go for coal powered power plants or import power from French nuclear power stations. Germany as developed country can afford to take this type of luxury, India on the other hand is always on the look out for sustainable energy.

Nobody likes big dams, we are running out of fossil fuels. Nuclear energy seems to be the only viable option.

our nearest plant is 260 kms from SL. Unfortunately very short distance. But India is likely to go ahead with nuclear energy. Only way for SL to stop this through force. But In near future even SL may go nuclear.

Our neighbours worry or not worried doesnt make much of a sense India is fast becoming a energy thirst nation .....if a country placed miles apart is worrying about our nuke plants sure our Government cares for its people and definitely would have looked into this and made sure safety is at maximum levels...so dont cry foul at nothing...
