'Spying devices' found in vegetable consignment from India: Report

The Pakistani authorities have recovered 'spying equipment' from a vegetable consignment from India, officials said.
“The spying equipment was recovered from the vegetable consignment from India during screening at Wagah border,” a security official said. He said the spying devices were hidden inside crates of tomatoes and included sound recorders and other equipment.

The official said the four men transporting the consignment have been arrested and an investigation was under way, adding their nationalities could not be ascertained as yet. “The devices have been sent to experts for inspection,” he added.
Pakistan and India have recently been working to enhance trade which could earn both countries billions. Political relations have also improved in recent months after high-level meetings between the two sides. Illegal annual trade between the two countries stands at billions of rupees.
Earlier this year, Pakistan did away with a positive list of imports that allowed less than 2,000 goods to be imported from India. It has then adopted a negative list which disallows only 1,123 items, allowing more than 7,000 products to be imported.
Pakistan allows only 137 items to be imported through the Wagah-Attari land route. The rest have to go via the sea route increasing transportation and transaction costs manifold.

This explains why shipments to Afghanistan are going through stricter checks.

The goal could very obviously be to ship these devices into the hands of spies/militants based in Afghanistan.

Once When India ask PAK , allow Indian wheat to fly to Afghanistan , the PAK minister PAK minister said, Indian wheat if allowed to fly over PAK to Afghanistan then it might infect PAK wheat with worms.

Then India converted that wheat to Biscuit , then asked PAK again, PAK made another excuse , after india send those biscuit through Iran .

If India need to send something to Afghanistan, its has russian, Iran network.

Lovely tomatoes packed with spy equipment, how cute is that.

Not as cute as when you heard PAK minister saying , flying Indian wheat over PAK can infect PAK wheat which are in the field.

Looks like India is going high tech in terms of spying :smokin:

LOL at your one sided comment. Maybe you wanna try to become 'unbiased' cuz we too export things that you make your living out of. We may be using Indian tomatoes, but certainly we are NOT allowing your spy games to happen at the same time. ;)

The spying device was sowed with the tomato seeds and the plants gave birth to Spy Tomatos
