What's new

Spread across 4sq km, Gujarat’s GIFT city is all set to generate 400 bn USD revenue.

Dude, I don’t like communism and socialism, for me free market capitalism is what is good and can remove poverty from the world

1. India has been the most Capitalist country in the world for the last 74 years. Since Independence. Yet most of India's masses are quite deprived in one way or another. Indians die of hunger just because they don't money, Indians die of illness for the same reason. Farmers commit suicide for socio-economic reasons - just between 1995 and 2017 more than 300,000 Indian farmers committed suicide. Students commit suicide. And there is the unjust social stratification maintained by money. And there is the tragic-comedy of Mukesh Ambani's 27-storey "house" in Bombay while not far from that building are people living in shacks and pipes.

2. Below is one old Google result for "Communism" :
Communism is a philosophical, social, political and economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of a communist society, namely a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money and the state.
What is your objection to such humane and wonderful set of thoughts ?

you just can’t simply multiply wealth by dividing it.

We will have to start with asking what "wealth" is. Wealth is human resources ( intellectual and physical ), raw material resources, processed material resources ( goods ) and economic resources. The first three are "Natural" and the fourth ( money ) is artificial. So for this artificial resource we can arrange a system where it exists but does not create injustice. Please read this thread of mine where I have proposed a new economic system. Please read the OP there and the discussion.

No dude, reality is 180° opposite

this is just ideology, the methods to implement are not going to help anyone, it will keep sustaining poverty, if it is so good then why do people from my state go to Oman or Qatar or UAE / KSA despite having a great communist government of that Vijayan? or for that matter why did Vietnam chose to go free market capitalism instead of communism? Russia today is not a communist country, it also left it. It sounds cool but practically is going to sustain poverty.

money comes by earning it, not dividing it, reality is that communism can’t generate money to uplift societies. See the difference yourself on why UPites come to Mumbai for work but not Marathis going there.
More like independent towns or satellite cities...
Gurugram is not a independent town or satellite city, it is a full fledged city and is a part of NCR. This is just one of the Central business district, there are many other under implementation and many other areas where there are tall residential buildings.

1. Other than the tragedies I wrote why has the Bombay Stock Exchange existed for the last 74 years without a week of closure ? The BSE is Asia's oldest stock exchange, running for the last 146 years without fail.

2. In your state there was a recent tragedy of the death of a six-month-old boy because of a disease. The cure was there - an injection - but the cost of each dose is 16 crore rupees. If the Indian system is Socialist / Communist why didn't the system pay for the injection doses, seeing as it were that certain needless projects get funding ? Please read this my thread on the topic from just a few days ago.

Were Albania, USSR, Somalia, North Korea etc so deprived by this thing called poverty that their farmers committed suicide en masse every year ?

Every Socialist and Communist country / society has been an experiment. Like Libya which before the 2011 invasion was a system where the people ruled themselves directly - a Direct Democracy. That is one element of the aims of Communism - the abolition of the State.

if it is so good then why do people from my state go to Oman or Qatar or UAE / KSA despite having a great communist government of that Vijayan?

Well, it is only in recent times that Kerala's Communist governors have allowed the establishment of technology companies. But I agree that they should have turned Kerala into an industrial hub given the aim for scientific development of society in Communist thought.

Russia today is not a communist country, it also left it.

But the largest opposition party in Russia is the Communist Party.

Also, Russia getting involved in the Syria war on the side of the Socialist Ba'ath Party government is a legacy from the USSR days.

And I will tag you in a coming thread of mine which is an interview by Russia Today TV channel. The interview is of the former spokesperson of Gaddafi. Again, this is Russia being in the legacy of USSR days.

See the difference yourself on why UPites come to Mumbai for work but not Marathis going there.

UPites go to Bombay because UP provides not much local employment. It is not because of money itself but because of employment. The employment brings to them an instrument ( money ) which is used to procure food and other necessities. Now what if many of those necessities are provided by the governing system and the rest can be procured by all through equal opportunity ? Please read my economic system proposal which describes that how.

. .
Where does employment come from?

What if UP provided local employment in Collective-labor-based Vertical Farms, honeybee farms, aerospace industry, food processing, textile, medicine, ancillary industry to industries existing in other states etc ? Will that not help retain UP's labor force ?

It will but then communist government of Kerala harassed Kitex garments to a limit that they were unable to invest in Kerala for production of garments and the investment went to Warangal city.

Commies hate private industries and want everything to be a an incompetent PSU.

how will you generate money for that , how will you fund the rnd in first place , and how company will invest , if not capitalist then thst should be a state company , and how will you spend on thst huge rnd budget , and those doing research , that requires investment , who will you sell it , how will you generate resources for the welfare of worker afrer all this as you won't have much money left with you , and if you have money left ,then you are not paying your worker properly , so how eill you make them work for you ,when some company offer more money for your scientist , and if you pay him more ,you will pay the worker less amount , that means you are cutting his share , and if there is a tragedy like a fure etc ,how will you repair and maintain . What if other country starts dumping items in your market or the export market , you will need capital and either it is state owned or private owned ,you need capitalist , state capitalist is the best option here .

For all these to be done in one go , either country should beg in international market for loans or force the worker in low pay jobs , that's bondage labour or labour camps.

Then that was the fault of the Kerala government.

1. Let us compare the achievements of the PSU DRDO to the private Capitalist company Infosys. Has Infosys devised a single operating system software and a single microprocessor given its huge human and financial resources ? It's another matter that DRDO also promised an operating system in 2010 but hasn't devised one now, eleven years later.

2. I will resume this convo in my economic system proposal thread. Please reply there.

4 SQ KM is going to generate $400 billion worth of business, seriously ?

So instead of 3,50,000 suicides in 20 years, you want millions of Indians to be killed in a single year a la holodomor.
