What's new

Splinter Cell - Blacklist (Capturing Nukes from Evil Indians)

What!? No evil russians this time?? In nearly every action game out there, there's an evil russian force that needs to be stopped, and the one nation capable of doing so is USA :L

If you guys actually used Google, you would have found out that the Indians aren't the enemy.

The player is meant to stop terrorists from capturing the nukes, the Indians are called allies and the player is not allowed to use lethal methods to subdue the Indian guards.

LOL, at Indians. The Russians and Germans get slaughtered in almost every game and don't care. It's a game.. Grow Up! :argh::lol:

So they're just patronizing India's security network then? That's okay then!

lolz jk!

@Topic- these Americans and their propaganda- always the good guys in one way or another. I can't wait for Indian and Chinese own games industries to develop and start pumping out these kind of shooters that challenge the way these ignorant Americans think of themselves- "USA,USA,USA number 1" and all that BS!!

What do you expect? Strength respects strength.

It's not some concerted effort by the Americans to spread any sort of message. A private game developer creates a game following a storyline written by its design team according to what they believe their target market will enjoy.

Get over it, the Russians, Chinese, Germans, Zombies etc etc have been used as enemies, it means NOTHING.

To an extent but can you see this being set in the UK? France? Canada? Australia? Japan? The fact India is not jumping on their (US) agenda and becoming a de facto NATO power has opened the door to this.

You are right though- the West doesn't respect the likes of India,China and Russia.

There have been games set in the US, France, UK etc. Movies and games have been made by American studios of an invasion into the American heartland. That's the beauty of the free market, people can do what they want.

And why should they respect us? They're better than us in every field, we shall beget respect the day we start challenging them instead of cowering.

But they fear Russia and hardly mess with them.

Tom Clancy has actually kind of become a brand name

Some of his novels are actually ghost written by others

They based the Agni 5 on old artist impression, with the welding separating each stage like this.

But should be like this

Anyways

Splinter Cell fell off hard. Only 3rd person shoot which okay is GOW.

I would actually argue no they are written by him some of them before being published were blocked by US Government.

Most Tom Clancy games have excellent story line except for H.A.W.X I/II

Don't get mad at Fiction enjoy it. When i play video game i consider my enemy to be someone else even so they were another badge just for funs.

Evil Russians are getting a bit old..

End of the Soviet era and the KGB ended the fascination - but there was ample real life material there - what with thousands of real agents on both sides, mind games played out, espionage, real threat, black market nukes, support to crazy regimes all over the globe, Soviet and US support camps etc.

Now, the protagonists are changing - the new flavor is terrorists.
