Specifications of Agni 6- Speculated

. . .
another LCA is coming :pop:

Lol Mr. Troll, you should already know that we have successfully tested a ICBM in April and that we have launched over 100 rockets to the space including one that traveled lakhs of kilometers to the moon looser.

Now stop posting trash if you can not discuss like adult persons do.

. .
Why create a new missile for extra 1000KM? Why doesn't India go for 12,000KM directly and name it Agni-6. Surely we are giving a bad reputation to one of our gods, Agni.

. . .
Agni 6 (SLBM)

Possible Specification

Height > 14 Meters

Diameter> 2 Meters

Weight > 35 Tons

Range - 6000 KM

I have always wondered, if you can have a smaller, lighter SLBM with the same range, what's the point of having a separate land-launched version?

^^ SLBM will not be able to carry as much payload as land based ICBM

According to some sources, A 6 SLBM will have maximum payload o 1 ton, while A 6 will have payload of at least 1.2 tons(my speculation).

More payload means more warheads, more decoys.

SLBM based ICBMs cant replace genuine ICBMs for these reason, as SLBM has to be compact and relatively lightweight, to fit in sub; thus less less room for propellant and limit on payload.

If you want to point at DF 31A, it has diameter of 2.25 meters and length of 13 meters, i.e its have significantly more room for propellants and remember its payload has not been disclosed.

A simple hint- US has excellent SLBM like Trident II, yet the main missiles of their land based ICBM force are Minuteman 3 ICBMs and not an ICBM based on Trident II.

The Agni-VI is reported to have a range of 6,000 km, and is being designed as the first Indian ballistic missile to host multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicle (MIRV) warheads. It will hold four to six warheads, and will be India’s largest ballistic missile yet at 20 metres long and weighing 65-70 tonnes. To give a sense of the haste of DRDO missile projects, it is the successor missile to the Agni-V, a 5,000 km range missile first tested only last April 19

‘Agni-VI and Prahaar both signify unnecessary missile projects

According to my recent calculation here are the speculated specifications of Agni 6

Agni 6 ICBM

Length: 20 Meters(some sources confirm this)

Diameter: 2.3 Meter (earlier I speculated that diameter will be 2.1 meter, but considering that Agni 6 will weigh 65 to 70 tons, it will be possible only if the Agni 6 is at least 15% larger in diameter compared to Agni 5; only then there will be room for extra stuff weighing 18 tons)

Weight: 68 Tons

Warheads: 3 initially, later versions will have more warheads

Launch Platform: Rail Car, Silo

.
This missile will complete Indian's immediate security needs and will act as strong deterrent too
