AfAIK tamils can't join that force.. that is because of risk of jihadis, LTTE, and SIKH militants.... during selection process the family background is also check if any one in the family have a criminal background then that man cannot join the SPG. there is nothing to with secularism in selection process of SPG. SPG is the force which protect the PM who is the most powerful person in india so no one want to take risk. in india sikhs, muslims and tamils have radical groups either in name of the religion or language. PM is take some decisions which may be against some religion, so the force protecting the PM must be Neutral and show more loyalty to PM than their religion or language/region

The purpose of force is to protect PM.

If an all Chinese team can protect him better, then NSG will have all Chinese in it.

it's not your admission to some medical college, so now you want reservations in it based on religion, caste etc

godse wasn't working for any radical group... he killed gandhi for his personal reasons. islamic terrorist groups posses largest thread the nation so to the PM of india. there are sikh militants who want PM of india killed, so for LTTE too.... jews, buddhists, christians are also minorities in india but they don't have any restriction in joining the SPG. any way hindus don't have any terrorist groups in the name of religion. so there is no considerable threat from the majority...
