Here is a suggestion to the PDF team. The World Military Forum section right now lists 7 subforums.

1. Military Forum
2. Air Warfare
3. Naval Warfare
4. Land Warfare
5. Equipment & Gear
6. Military History & Tactics
7. Technology & Science

My suggestion would be to add an 8th subforum section. Currently, there is no centralized or dedicated space for discussions that have to do with Space Warfare, Technology and Exploration. There are literally hundreds of posted articles littered all over PDF that could be moved or opened in a dedicated section, and many high quality discussions too.

From the expansive space programs of countries, to the development and fielding of military assets in space (half the worlds satellites are of military origin and function), and from the history of space exploration to the scientific discoveries in Astronomy that open our eyes into new worlds, both in space and time.

I really think that such a section is both warranted and beneficial to our forum, and I would certainly spend a lot of time there too. Hope that the team decides in a favorable fashion.

It could work. Looking at the existing sub-forum though, I think that there are a lot of threads within that would not exactly fit the new subforum description (if we decide to simply rename the subforum). A general science-technology subforum has a lot of merit imo, simply because there are a lot of centralized discussions (like material technology, AI, architecture, energy etc) broad in scope enough to not fit the other existing categories.

The idea for a Space Warfare-Exploration-Technology subforum was mainly to separate thematically some of those discussions that also don't fit, since the subject itself is broad enough to have the content split according to the posters' whims (some threads are made in the Wold Military Forum, some in World Affairs, some in Country Watch).

At the same time, the subject is popular enough to warrant a dedicated and centralized discussion space. So essentially, simply renaming an existing forum would trade one problem for another. Instead of having space related threads split and opened everywhere in the forum, you would have general science and technology threads do that.

The military Forum also can have a separate World History section as well.
Since we have military history section already, sometimes it not suitable to post non-military history there.
A new history section would invite countless new topics to discuss on forum.

Awesome, that would be cool. I personally will try to fill it with as much content (articles, videos, Q/A, polls, etc) as possible by me.

How about we start it as a dedicated thread. Share general articles and carrying out discussion related to this topic there. Once things get going we can setup a sub-forum. Will that work for you for now?
