Wanted Taliban commander surrenders in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, May 17 (Xinhua) -- A wanted commander of Pakistani Taliban Hanif Gabol Monday surrendered himself voluntarily to the police of Sargodha, a city in eastern Pakistani province of Punjab.
In a video provided to Xinhua, the Taliban leader told police that he had planned most activities in South Waziristan, the Pakistani tribal area and hometown of Pakistani Taliban leadership that borders Afghanistan.
He informed police that he knows seven persons who are involved in making suicide jackets.
Hanif Gabol said that his group consists of 50 people, planning to carry out attacks in Punjab province.
He told police that he felt guilty and ashamed over the illegal and violent activities. Therefore, he wanted to present himself for justice.
Sargodha district information department, while confirming the arrest of the commander, said that Gabol was in blasts of Khosa market in another eastern city of Dera Ghazi Khan, the hometown of Ghazi Abul Rashid who was perished in a military action against clerics of Red Mosque (Lal-Masjid) during Musharraf era.

Seraiki TTP Chief surrenders
Mianwali—Hanif Gambol who claimed to be Amir of Tehrik-e-Taliban Seraiki Karwan, has surrendered himself before Mianwali Police on Monday.
According to media reports, Hanif Gambol belongs to Choti, area of Dera Ghazi Khan and joined Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan Hassaan Group and he was appointed as Amir of Seraiki Lashkar for carrying out terrorist activities in Punjab.
The arrested terrorist under the police custody, claimed to have carried out several terrorist activities in different important cities of Punjab.
According to the police, Hanif Gambol has made plans of terrorism in different cities of Punjab and he is the mastermind of attack on Khosa House in DG Khan. The police further said that the accused is also involved in several attacks on check posts of police and other law enforcing agencies. Hanif Gambol who is expert in making suicide jackets has confessed before the media of planning attacks on mourning processions, adding all planning was made with Commander Hassaan in Waziristan.
The arrested terrorist said that he joined a group of Taliban on insistence of Dr. Allah Wasia but later, he formally joined Hassaan Group of Taliban. He told media that Rs. 50,000 were provided for planning every attack.
He confessed to the planning to carry out a suicide attack in Mianwali and attack on DG Khan Cantt, adding his group wanted to carry out more attacks but failed in achieving its objective due to confiscation of explosive material in a great quantity.
Hanif Gambol has said that he would accept any sentence to be given by country’s law and appealed to his accompanies to handover themselves to police. The arrested terrorist informed that he is married man but does not have any children.—Online
