It's clearly superior than Sayad and Taer missiles.
It's clearly superior than Sayad and Taer missiles.
It's completely vertical launch, higher speed in start phase more maneuverable and possible many more advantage than Iranian medium range missile but that does not mean Iran made AD are useless absolutely they have some other advantages.
The big issue is that we should have different missiles with different attitude to target and several kind of guidance as result our enemy is going to face really hard situation for passing through these different layers.
the really different kind of engineering is behind of these missiles.you compare oranges with apples
you cant compare 100-300km range missiles with weight from many hundreds kg to some tons, to a 130kg missile with range 12-20km
but yes, as far as i know iran doesnt have something similar, so it would be a great purchase
if iran want to buy them there is for sure a necessity
the really different kind of engineering is behind of these missiles.
also Sayad family and ta'er family missiles have different ranges but the key thing is that the behavior of each family is unique and they mostly improve the range with increasing the size and that is normal.
but they still lazy missiles to respond the thread in compare Umkhonto.
I think they want to develop new kind of AD missiles family base on Umkhonto in Iran with SA help.
at end Iran has good experience in working with south Africa in military projects.
Ra'ad use taer family missiles and they are near to sayyad missiles.Bro, the ra'ad missile family is much better at responding to threats than this systems. The Ra'ad systems has basically everything on one vehicle and is ready to fire.
The only thing this south african system has to offer to Iran is saving time in designing smaller air defence missiles. But in all honestly that factor is not so great to merit Iran spending cash on this systems. Iran could with ease develop such systems. The complexity of Iranian long range systems like bavar are vastly more compared to these smaller systems.
