Sonny Bill Williams: Rugby star latest to criticise China over Uighurs

I take political opinion of rugby players about as seriously as I take financial advice from my garbage collector. Political opinion is like the anus. Everybody has one and they all stink. Why anybody gives weight to a guy with severe brain trauma from concussions is the real question.

.
It's very simple, if he wanted to defend China, he would have said "YES" when the journo ask him whether he think the news is not true. Any kind of answer other than a straight yes would mean uncertainty. It's not about "leaving room" when making comment, but rather he said that because he is unsure, not a yes, not a no, but is unsure.

Also, your previous argument are flawed as well, if we don't know what he think, how do you know he knows more than you and me? How do you know he know that is not true?
As the top leader of a neighoring country of Xinjiang, the whole intelligence and information agencies are at his disposal, it goes without saying that he knows more than you and me. that's common sense. I see he is defending China and you see he is being nuetral, let others watch this interview and ask them which side they think the president is on, China , nuetrual or anti China.

.
Ironically the only concentration camps existed not too long ago, are those in Syria and Iraq, targetting people not just from different religion, but from different sect within same religion.

Women were made sex slave, and men were killed.

If the radical elements in Xinjiang have their ways, it is certainly a genocide scenario not only for Han but all humanity. China is doing right thing by secularizing radical Muslims through education.

Unfortunately, Hong Kongers are myopic in their hate and sense of superiority, have chosen to support the dark side.

Not one Vietnamese care about Uighur issue, I don't think you are what you said you are.

But well. Honestly, I don't really care as well, it can be concentration camp, it could be a Holiday Inn, it don't bother me much, those aren't my people.

Uighur terrorist did kill Vietamese border guards.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-27200562
a reported border clash with Uighur immigrants where five of the migrants were killed together with two Vietnamese guards.

Shooting at the Border

According to reports, upon receiving notification by China of immigrants coming into Vietnam illegally, the border guards intercepted and held 16 people at Bac Phong Sinh border crossing in northern Quang Ninh province, across from China’s Guanxi province.

At some point, while the immigrants were held in the border post, some of them grabbed one or more AK-47 rifles from the guards and began firing, the reports said. A standoff and shootout ensued, resulting in two border guards and five migrants dead.

It is unclear how the five migrants died. There are reports saying they all died by suicide, jumping from the rooftop, while others say at least some of them were shot dead by the police or border guards.

That is not common sense, that is an assumption, you assume he knows more than you and me just because he is the leader of the country next door. However, you did not factor in whether or not he care enough to use resource at his disposal to really try to know.

Just because Scott Morrison is the PM of Australia, with all the advance intelligence apparatus at his disposal, that does not mean ScoMo know the people 3 house down more than me. And if you say he is because he is the Leader of Australia, that is your conjecture, not common sense.

Yeah, as I said, you know nothing about law and order. And you seems to obsess with issue normal Chinese people care about (Even me as a Hong Konger wouldn't) may as well use your actual flag.

Umm, that does not mean normal Vietnamese would care about Uighur issue.

And if you really do believe he is a Vietnamese, well. I am not sure are you rally that thick or you both cut form the same cloth.

It is common sense, it's always a big issue in Kazakhstan cause Xinjiang has a million Kazaks and China and kazakhstan have an agreement allowing a certain number of Kazakhs immigrate to Kazakhstan. China is argubly the most important country to Kazakhstan along with Russia, you can deny that's not common sense, but people with common sense all know that's common sense that he is more well informed in that issue than you and me.

Umm, that does not mean normal Vietnamese would care about Uighur issue.
Maybe some care, like him, he just represent himself, not general Vietnamese people, it's allowed in PDF to speak personal opinions.

It would be naive to place complete trust with the Western opinion, in the backdrop of open aggression of their top leaders against China.

Western leaders have shown to lie, to manipulate and fake evidence notwithstanding, are able to attract many worshippers who are ill-informed, and believe 100% in their malicious deceit.

Hong Kongers were particularly vulnerable to the fraud of western media, due to their unquestionable faith, their worship of western culture, and their fallacious perception of superiority of their racial stock against mainlanders.

Despite evidence of untruthfulness in all western MSM, Hong Kongers refuse deliberately to learn the lesson -- as they are blinded by their hate against China.

Again, that is not common sense, that is your opinion. Common sense is that we do not know what he know or what he don't know, so anything represented so should just be conjecture.

And lol, again, not one Vietnamese I know care about those issue, couple with the HK issue (Which no one ever care, not even the ourselves) pretty sure he is not what he say he is.

If he knows about that issue less than you and me , he is really not qualified to be the president of Kazakhstan, cause this is such a big issue in his country.

Yeah, we all don't know how to think, only you know how to think. And as if Chinese leader never lies.

Everybody lies, I lie, you lie, that is not the issue, how to spot lies, however, is the kind of skill I think you lack.

If he knows about that issue less than you and me , he is really not qualified to be the president of Kazakhstan, cause this is such a big issue in his country.

Strange, I think as the president of Kazakhstan, I thought he only need to know his country.

As I said, you don't know what he knows, and more importantly, YOU NEVER know what he know simply because you are not him, so anything set forth are your conjecture. It's that simple.

This issue is part of issues of his country, hundreds of thousands of Uighurs live in Kazakhstan and as a member of SCO China and Kazakhstan are constantly in contact over those ethnic issues, it was not the first time he was talking about that, we both know you are now in denial mode, you can still deny it though.

lol, I am in denial mode.

I just have one question.

Are you Kassym-Jomart Tokayev?

If he didn't know it and wasn't defending China, why he said with such a certain tone that in general those reports are not true , why he didn't just say he doesn't know? If he wasn't defending China, why the Chinese government thanked and praised him afterwards for supporting China over Xinjiang?

China on Tuesday praised Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his "positive comments" in support of Beijing's position on the situation in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, stressing that attempts by "some countries" to spread falsehoods will never succeed.

"President Tokayev's remarks on the relevant issue showcased the traditional friendship and high-level mutual trust between the two countries. His words also made a strong rebuff to the falsehoods told by some countries. People can tell right from wrong," Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a press conference in Beijing.

"The Xinjiang-related policies the Chinese government has rolled out have won positive comments across the international community. Some countries have been making an issue of Xinjiang. They have gone so astray from facts and the mainstream opinion of the international community that their attempts will never succeed," she added.

Hua's remarks came after Tokayev, speaking to the German media on December 4 ahead of his Berlin visit, said that the situation in Xinjiang is being sensationalized as part of geopolitics amid rising China-U.S. friction. Acknowledging Xinjiang as China's internal affairs, the Kazakh leader asserted that his country would not be dragged in a "global anti-China front."

"Some international human rights organizations have offered false information and they are exploiting and sensationalizing the situation of the ethnic Kazakh minority on purpose," Tokayev said.

"What has been set up in Xinjiang are education and training institutions, and those claims that China has looped all the ethnic Kazakhs in the 'concentration camps' could not be further from the truth. The ethnic Kazakhs in China are first and foremost Chinese citizens and what happens in Xinjiang is China's internal affairs," he asserted

"According to international law and agreements between the two sides, Kazakhstan has no right to interfere in China's internal affairs, just like China has never interfered in the internal affairs of Kazakhstan," the Kazakh president added.

Hua, meanwhile, highlighted that China and Kazakhstan are friendly neighbors that have forged a permanent comprehensive strategic partnership earlier this year. "President Tokayev's visit to China this September was very fruitful, during which the two presidents reaffirmed stronger support to each other and pledged to deepen cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative for common development and prosperity."

Also on Tuesday, Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao highlighted that the year 2019 has been significant in terms of achieving many tangible results in the development of Sino-Kazakh relations.

"In 2019, the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and [current] President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited China. Tokayev's visit lifted the relationship to a permanent comprehensive strategic partnership. This is unprecedented," China's Xinhua news agency quoted Zhang as telling reporters in the Kazakh capital Nur-Sultan.

The ambassador noted that Nazarbayev was awarded the Friendship Medal of the People's Republic of China for his outstanding contributions to the development of Sino-Kazakh relations.

Stating that Kazakhstan's participation in the second China International Import Expo in Shanghai was a complete success, Zhang revealed that "contracts worth 160 million U.S. dollars were signed, which would increase access of Kazakh products to the Chinese market."

Two-way trade is expected to reach a new record of more than 20 billion U.S. dollars in 2019, said Zhang, adding that a number of important industrial and investment projects have also been launched.

"New impetus has been injected into cultural exchanges. The first Sino-Kazakh film 'The Composer' gains widespread recognition in both countries," he said.

The Chinese ambassador vowed to continue high-level political dialogues on bilateral relations and on international and regional issues while stressing that cooperation will focus on the development of relations between young people, think tanks, educational institutions and art groups of the two countries.
