Something is not right about Syria

Go to google earth.
Zoom in to any large city of Syria and no destruction or abnormality is visible.
Roads are ull of traffic and buildings intact.
So why is the desoation and massive destruction we see on media, invisible in the publicly avalable satellite imagery?

Perhaps google is not updating that part of the map and still using old images only...
