Some questions to Turkish members from a Bangladeshi

I think whether you know where a country lies pretty much depends on your country's basic education system. Of course it is possible to forget things, but as long as you've been taught how to use a map, you can always find it.

We're not in a tv show where the americans are asked, "do you know Denmark" and they answer "isn't it a pastry".

Hello everyone.

Hope you are all doing great!

I have some questions in mind. I feel that there is some sort of dichotomy between Bangladeshis and Turkish people considering some diplomatic spats. I feel that we have a lot to learn from each other, and other's history. I hope to address this communication gap.

First off, how do you see Turkey's role regarding the current outstanding issues and and upcoming ones in regards to the Middle East? Especially in regards to countering ISIS. What is Turkey's history with the Kurdish rebellion and how it all started?

Secondly, why is it that I see many Western people sympathetic to the Kurdish rebellion? Why do not they like Erdogan? Why do they say that the recently failed coup was masterminded by Erdogan to increase his legitimacy? What are their reasons?

And thirdly, what is Turkey's connection to Jamaat-e-Islami of Bangladesh? The largest Islamist political party in the country. What is Turkey's position on Bangladesh and the immediate neighborhood? What is your's?

I look forward to your answers. It's very regrettable if you have found any hateful remarks from Bangladeshis against Turkey, and the Turkish people here and on social media. Despite that and our cultural differences, I hope to initiate some understanding between us.

By the way, I love Turkish food!
Issue of jamiat ul islami I tell you

Let's suppose if Bangladesh has massive fight inside for separation of Bangladesh what is today in two separate countries do you support the rebellion who wants to break your country or your govt forces if Bangladesh separated. In two parts as separate country and your brother end up in other half of Bangladesh tinned by new govt and hang your brother for not supporting rebellion in the fight for freedom who will u support

Simple answer is you should support Bangladesh because at a time of rebellion there were no xyz separate country so no laws implicated of that country when it was not existed so it is not entitled to hang those who not supported their rebellion

This scenario Bangladesh is doing with jamiat ul islami which is clear cut murder

Yeah, probably he will come... if we were still in the 1930's.

I don't know much about Bangladesh, but I've read somewhere that your MP and leaders are leaning towards India and their influence.

So? Does Turkey have enmity with India? They are the ones who put the current regime in Bangladeshi into power in the first place. The period between 2007 and 2008 was a volatile one when the emergency military-backed government was in charge. Sheikh Hasina was even arrested at first. Someone obviously aided her.

Bangladesh's democracy wasn't the best for the record, but it was at least progressing. Key here is 'was'. Though not apparent, there are steep divisions in the country along with a complete clampdown on free media and free speech.

As of now, the regime is stronger than ever.

Would it be logical to express 'sadness' to Bangladesh? Chances are that it would strengthen the regime, and not weaken them.

I was just saying I don't know much about Bangladesh, why so defensive ?

If the current regime is backed by india, are your country being considered a puppet country by some ppl ?

BNP and Jamaat E scum loving folks talking about democracy, freedom of speech and freedom of the press.

Your bum chums tried to wipe the entire opposition (AL) out with multiple grenade attacks in 2004.

So save me the bullshit about how democracy has been throttled in Bangladesh since 2009.

Forgive me but, someone do tell what has happened between Bangladesh and Turkey to have this thread on this forum? I must have missed something.
Thanks.

I'm not expressing sadness just telling them the reality

I'm being defensive? It's regrettable that you did think that way. I simply stated the facts there.

Also, you didn't answer question: Does Turkey have any enmity toward India? It's a simple yes or no question.

But if you don't know, that is fine.

You are entitled to your views.

I was mentioning Turkey expressing sadness in regards to the recent execution. Fact of the matter is that this had only made the regime stronger. It didn't weaken their legitimacy one bit.

If you really want to help and make Turkey....great again, wouldn't it be wise to start with the head of the snake?
