Some of the world's most elite special forces: Business Insider: Defense

.
I hate lists like these, but at least this one says "some of the worlds most elite" and not "world's best".

But, I've always respected the Russians. They come in one form - bad*ss.

I have doubts about the accuracy of the above. It does not include SAS of UK. SAS was formed in 1941 and is the the Special service that started all others; the US Green Berets ( formed in 1952) are also excluded.

SGS are indeed good, one can say very good, but to say that SGS are better trained, equiped & led than the British SAS! Regrettably, I would disagree.

Sir i think thats y they used the word "elite" rather than "best" and the rating seems to be given on basis of performance but not how well equipped one is. My two cents.

Our SSG uses Russian RPG's in their units as I have notice in multiple operations in Pakistan, but do other Special force unites uses weapons like RPG's ? I never seen them

Others seem happy with Milkors ..(the SSG probably uses Milkors too -- apart from the usual UBLs)... The army's happy with QBLs/RPGs & AGLs...

but I wonder why they keep in Operations like APS Peshawar ? I mean the job of SSG is to eliminate threat with minimum collateral damage , and take care of hostage , an RPG does not fit into the scene don't you think ?
