Some Christians in Pakistan convert fear into safety

DAMN!
They are converting due to fear!

Disgusting! (Not their act, but of Mullahs)
The more I try to serve and change this Nation, the more barriers appear in font of me!

'Iss Pakistan ka kia ho ga? '

oo bhai, tumhari posts hamesha rulanay wali kun hoti hein? Abhi no jawan ho, himmat kero, aisi na umedi wali baykaar batein mat kia kero.

Only people who have a lose Faith coverts to other faith

I bet you if you beat the hell out of a true Muslim, he will never give up on his Faith

You must know the whole of Spain converted to Christianity after the defeat Muslim rule over Spain the lasted for several centuries.

To survive and have a semblance of dignity in an adversarial circumstance , history show scores people of belong to all sorts of religions had to convert against their wish.

You come to Kerala.........
We have 19 % Christians
22 % Muslims there
My Hindu friends never felt insecurity there.
Last time i checked Indian Constitution it says its Secular
BJD were elected to Power by People of Orrisa

Sorry for being offtopic :

That is because majority of the Keralite christians have been christians from the time of St.Thomas and have been amonf the most liberal and accomadating of the Christians.

Same goes for the Christians of Goa.

But the problem is the newly converted ones in the tribal areas of central India and the north East who do it more like a business rather than a search for truth and salvation.

I have heard that certain Pentecostal sects dont even drink water in the houses of other religions for the fear of loosing their 'purity' .I mean what stupidness is this ?

Therein lies the difference.

Relations between Muslims and Christians right now in Pakistan is tense. Considering the Asia controversy it was expected. Situation will calm down after sometime.

I seriously doubt however the claim of this author. Noone really admitted that he/she converted to Islam out of fear. I don't think that faith of Christians is so weak that they will convert just because the situation is tense.

Can anyone please give me the link of this claim?

a protest that featured at least 3,000 people who at one point chanted “death to Christians and the friends of Christians” as they marched through the heart of Lahore.

Its really sad pakistanis let fundamentalist mullahs push them around. There can be no real progress unless you learn to tolerate those around you. All the major religions of the world are there to stay and history shows that the more you try to supress something; the stronger its resurgence will be.

Coming that from an Indian ... Highly Understood.

The statistic of conversion to Islam may be true, its very high even in the US as well... However not a majority of cases can be clubbed together as forceful conversion.

Anyway, the number of forceful conversions are enough to be alarming and shows where the country is headed. This is not even Islam, which allows freedom to profess any faith, the religion these bigots follow is psychosis.

And St.Thomas was chased out to South India by Hindu fanatics and at last he was burnt to death. Just go to Chennai and find the church there and also the point he was chased and killed all the way from India

Christians have the "suffering" down to an art that its hardly a novelty. st.thomas died for what he believed in and did not respond with violence. Christianity started in kerala and now its a thriving religion in india.
